So, as of this morning I've lost nine pounds (in two weeks!). I can tell because my pants no longer leave deep welts at my waist, but I'm not at a point where others can tell yet. That's okay, because I'm doing this for health reasons, not vanity reasons, but I'm just curious: How many pounds did it take for y'all before people started commenting on your weight loss?
I think it is harder for people who see you everyday to notice as much as someone you haven't seen in awhile. For me it was 40lbs when I ran into someone I hadn't seen in six months and she said "Wow! You have lost so much weight! How are you doing it?".
30lbs. A girl said to me "oh my God, you've lost so much weight! How much weight have you lost?" and I said "Oh, 30lbs" and she said "Wow, I wouldn't've thought you had 30lbs to lose!" I don't know if that last bit was a compliment or a dig.
I work with a bunch of women who have no problem at all drawing attention to my weight and discussing my weight and commenting on how my clothes are fitting etc. etc. LOL, sometimes it's annoying, but I know they mean well and they cheer me on, so it's nice.
Anyway, they started to notice when I'd lost about twenty pounds, I guess, but I'd already lost 30 before I started this job.
For me it was around the 20 pound mark and for some reason - I lost a lot in my face or something because for about a week people where looking at me and saying things......kind of like all of a sudden it struck them that I was losing weight. It did not bother me until someone made a comment in a room full of people - some that I was meeting for the first time... {CRINGE}
