Default Any one done eating for your blood type diet

I don't know much about this except it goes in line with what all you should be eating according to your blood type? Wondering if anyone has done this and does it work?

No proof that it works, or scientific basis to back it up. Plus, according to my blood type I should avoid tomatoes. I love tomatoes! Heh

Here's more info from the Mayo Clinic:

I've always wondered what this diet was about. What is really unique about a specific blood type that certain foods are to be avoided and others shouldn't.

This 'diet' literally saved my son's life. He was having all kinds of respiratory problems and the traditional Dr's kept wanting to do surgery - bought into it once, he had his adnoids out and his breathing never improved, until the naturalpath took the corn and wheat out of his diet (we followed the plan for his blood type) and he never needed any surgery. He breathes just fine, the black circles under his eyes are all gone, He can sleep, he has energy. The turnaround for him is amazing. He was 11 when he started on these food lists and he's now 17, body builds and is the healthiest kid I know. the real testimony that this works is when he gets caught without 'his' food and has to eat wheat or corn and the speed in which he reacts and the severity of that reaction is frightening.

I follow the plan to lose weight. if i cut calories i can lose about 5 lbs/month with lots of exercise and struggle, but if I follow my food list for my blood type then i can lose 2-3 lbs/week and i have more food, more energy. it feels like when I eat my foods my body works better, and when i eat foods not on my list my body has to work really hard to process.

All you have to do is look at my son and no matter how many articles are written that says there is no basis for this 'diet' we still won't eat any other way.

Hope this helps.....

It's about as plausible as following a diet based on your astrological sign or hair colour.

Doinitin: Is this not just a case of gluten sensitivity. Is it tied to a specific blood type? Either a person has A, B, AB or 0 and then the variability of Rh negative or positive is thrown in there making 8 possibilities phenotypes. I'm wondering if they are specific dietary guideline for each blood type possibility and how that was determined?

If someone has some sensitivity, say gluten, and there are 4 "blood type diets," there's a 25% chance of having the "correct" blood type just by chance alone.

Package it any way you want, call it anything you want, that food list made the difference. I'm not saying it's for everyone, just like any of the programs ever written or followed you have to find 'your way'. That plan is our way. And the difference it made IMMEDIATELY is undeniable. I was a cookie-a-holic forever and when I followed the B-type food lists I NEVER have cravings - ever. Is it based on anything scientific? Logical? I don't care it worked for my family and I'd recommend it to anyone based on our results. i know people who live and breathe Atkins, JC, WW (portion control), ASouth Beach.... etc. That wouldn't work for us either, the deal here is that you have to find what works best for your body. The question was has anyone tried it and how do you like it. I tried it and I LIKE IT ALOT!!!

Yes i eat according to my B-type blood, just like the book says. i follow it to a 'T'. and i get great results.

Good luck with which ever plan works for you. if you're thinking this might be for you, good luck.

Read the book and it'll explain it all.... It's based on your ancestoral history and bio-chemistry. I haven't read the background info for a very long time but Dr D'Amomo (sp) is a freind of my Friend/Chiropractor and a naturalpath so by association to my friend he's not a flake and by his education he's got as much or more knowledge as any of the other Dr-based plans. Why are there thousands of 'diet' books out there? Because there are thousands of people who found something that works for them and the want to share it. If you're looking for 'a plan' read the book and see if it sounds right for you. I bought it at a Sally Ann for 1.99. Be skeptical, research, ask questions, search 'the sea of knowledge ' out there and find your way. I did. this is our way and it's given me huge peace over food and eating.

Again, good luck.

I've read through a couple blood type diet books. I don't know if there's any merit to the science, but it is interesting when I look through the food list for the O type (which I am). the foods that it says to stay away from are the foods that I really don't like. It's says not to eat wheat or too many grains. I've found that my body does best without wheat. The list of foods to eat are the ones that I instinctively gravitate towards. I don't if that's a coincident, but I found it interesting.
