Married for 20 years
Boy - 12; Girl - almost 11
Yellow Lab - Ben (3) and a Black Lab (pound pup) - Riley (we think close to 2); three hamsters and a few dust bunnies
I collect antique dolls and furniture when I have spare money, which isn't often - I love reading thriller/drama/horror novels as well. History channel, SciFi and Discovery are my favorites cable stations.
5'5" (and shrinking or so it feels like)
I'm a natural brunette, but can't seem to leave my hair color alone since I have quite a few grays - I go from a deeper brunette up to a strawberry/light brunette mix in the summer months -- my eye color is a blueish/greenish/greyish
Starting Date of Weightloss Journey:
7lbs 14oz (sorry, couldn't resist) - actually this time it'd be 200 is my starting weight... heaviest I've ever been
145 is my goal - I weighed this in high school, so we'll see if I can reach it
Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss:
Believing in myself...
Following any specific plan:
For now, I'm counting calories/fat and I've started exercising again
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past:
I think to myself that I'm not getting any younger and I really don't want to start over AGAIN in another 5 years.. it will be hard enough losing weight this time.. I know the older you get the harder it is and I figure I'll have a hard enough time as it is...
Anything else you would like to share with us:
I can accept growing old and I can accept not being what some would call 'hot' any more.. but I want to look good, as vain as that sounds. I want to be able to buy clothes without worrying if they'll 'glide' over my stomach or buying swimsuits that resemble maternity swimsuits because I don't want anyone to see my thigh jowls. I want to be able to play with my kids without feeling like I'm going to stroke out and I want to be able to ride my bicycle without feeling like every passerby is shaking their head thinking, "Oh look.. poor thing..."
