It's a Wonderful Life was on last night, for what seemed like an eternity. Closer investigation revealed that there were commercials every 8 minutes or so...

24 hours of a Christmas Story is a must in my house! I love that movie!! I torture my family with it every year, so it's entertaining on many levels for me!!

Exclamation Marathon Movies

TBS has been doing a 24 hour marathon of "A Christmas Story" every year It's a cute movie, but once a year is enough

NBC owns the rights to "It's a Wonderful Life", so they show it a couple of times during the Christmas Season. I remember when it used to be on just about every channel on cable!

i said exactly that about Wonderful Life just last night! Its the first time I have watched it entirely and by the end I was crying like a baby! But commercials every eight minutes AND at least eight commercials in a row each time!

I enjoy "A Christmas Story" but I don't enjoy it to the level of some people.

My boyfriend cannot believe that I have never seen A Christmas Story from start to finish, even though they play it 24 hours on xmas.

I love It's a Wonderful Life it has been a fave of mine forever--I agree there are way too many commercials....

I have never been able to make it through A Christmas Story--I have seen bits and pieces. I heard on the radio something about a convention every year and visiting the actual house for tours...were they making that up????

Nope. It's true. Some guy bought the house and spent big $$$ fixing it up just like the movie including the "major prize" fishnet leg lamp.

lol, yeah bits and pieces are pretty much enough to remember the whole thing once you've seen it a million times

Last year, or a couple of years ago, there was some network that did a 24-h marathon of Miracle on 34th St, alternating a black-and-white showing with a colorized one, but I didn't see it listed this year
