What's for dinner 12/22-12/27
OK, Beachers, these next two weeks are going to be some of most challenging for most of us.
Lots of temptations out there, but let's strive to stay as close to plan as possible!
Tonight's dinner is going to be Butternut Squash soup and a small spinach salad.

I'm thinking a red lentil dahl and maybe spinach & garbanzo curry. Warm and spicy appeal to me on cold days.

Ummm....you shouldn't ask!
DD's fourth bday is today...her choice: veggie plate with ranch dip, mac n cheese (with lo carb pasta of course!), and hot dogs.
Fortunately for me (and unfortunately), I think I have a touch of my DS's stomach bug, and all of that is pretty repulsive to me.
tomorrow: crock pot chili!

tonight, my nephew is having dinner with us and his favorite food is lasagna. We're going to have a side of roasted broccoli and salad with a roasted red pepper caesar dressing.

Tonight the gang wanted Chinese buffet, sigh. I had a big plate of greasy garlic green beans, egg drop soup, a teriyaki chicken skewer, 2 steamed blue crabs (small ones).
Tommorrow will be the white bean and turkey sausage soup with steamed broccoli, and maybe some pasta for the kids with some of the sausage.

We had crockpot chili tonight, made with soy crumbles.
I'm going to have a fudgesicle coated with peanut butter and dipped in ff Cool Whip in a minute to cool my palate and fight the heartburn, LOL!

I made the tomato roasted red pepper soup last night blended with a can of cannelini beans. We loved it and will definitely have it again.
Things are low key in our house so tonight I'm trying Weezle's black bean stoup with a side salad.

tonight we went out for Christmas eve - I had crab cakes on top of angel hair pasta with chocolate cheesecake for dessert.
I'm usually one to have a serious sweet tooth but the cheesecake was just too rich. Myself, DH and DS couldn't even finish one piece.
