Default How about sharing our holiday plans?

Has anyone decided on their Christmas meal? I'd love to try something a little different this year.

We have the traditional turkey of course, mashed cauliflower with cream cheese and a dab of butter, and a nice tossed spinach salad but then I want to try something a little different. Ideas anyone?

hummm disgruntled that's a different approach. I love that!

I make a pot of soup every week and I freeze it in lunch sized packages so we have a different homemade soup each day. I'm thinking it wouldn't feel so special for our Christmas meal. We will have it for lunch as usual though. ....and you can put money on the fact that we will have a huge pot of soup from our turkey bones!

If I were cooking Christmas dinner, this is what I'd make:

Jerseygyrl I like the spinach idea. I've put that on my shopping list for tomorrow. The bright green colour will be pretty.

The wonderful thing about doing the cooking is that I can control what goes in those recipes. I forget who posted it at Thanksgiving but I find this so helpful.

"Thanksgiving/Christamas dinner is ONE meal--not a week's worth of leftovers.

I will indulge and enjoy my dinner with all of my heart. But when my meal is over, it's over.
