actually i hate going out on a sunday morning early to avoid the rush of shoppers when we need stuff deperately cos it usually ends up with breakfast in mcdonalds cos there's no where else. half my daily calories gone in about 10 minutes.
and it's never fulfilling.
why do i bother with it? I always feel ill afterwards too.
I agree with Meg. If you have time to stop at McD's, you have time to put together something to eat at home before you go. Change your pattern--you'll feel better!
If you feel it's unavoidable, try to control the damage. Have a coffee with 1 egg muffin with no cheese or butter. That still leaves you with the eng muffin, egg and cdn bacon.
How about getting some steel cut oats and making oatmeal overnight in a crockpot? I love getting up to a breakfast that is ready for me - all I need to do is to brew some coffee (I could actually program the coffee maker for that but it is one thing that I prefer to do "manually").
Spruce up the oatmeal with some raspberries and blueberries but mainly eat if BEFORE YOU LEAVE the house.
Create those sandwiches at home with the Thomas lower calorie english muffins and turkey bacon and cabot light cheese, or canadian bacon. Save yourself the calories and enjoy a similar treat. My "thing" is still movie popcorn - and lately I've been packing my own with I can't Believe it's not Butter spray and garlic. That cookbook Hungry Girl recipes that's a best seller these days is great for those of us who LOVE fast food, she has all sorts of ways to recreate our favorite junk food with healthier ingredients. Maybe pick that up and recreate the junk?
