to the December exercise thread! We're making exercise a habit, giving ourselves some accountability, and getting healthier in the process!
In this thread, we track the number of MINUTES we exercise for the month -- whether it's walking or swimming or sweaty housework! Most of us set goals for ourselves (I personally will not exercise much without a goal). If you are a goal-setter, early in the month set your own goal! If you're just getting started, feel free to start with a smaller number of minutes (I did!), maybe just a few hundred. It seems easier for many of us to build on the habit rather than meet a very high goal right away. However, you can also just jump right in without a goal, and you can join us anytime in the month!
I've had it. I let my food habits slide months ago, and so began a slow creep of weight. Now I've let my exercise slide too! That's IT! December goal: 1200 min. Who's with me?
I am with you Heather. I am going for 1000 minutes, and I even have a "stretch" goal of 1200 minutes. I really really really want to lose 12 pounds in December, and it's going to take some exercise!
I'm with you on the goal. November was a disaster (for me), with little exercise, a couple of off plan days, and a cold that dragged on for ages. It left me with a 4 pound loss, and that's unacceptable. I've got a week of school left, then exams, although I'm finishing up my last project today. I'm still going to do a maintenance week (food-wise) during my exams, but I wasn't planning on doing a rest week (exercise-wise), so I'll commit to: 1200 mins in December!
Last year I did 18,000 minutes in exercise. I so want to beat that this year even by a few minutes. I am at 17,522 personal exercise minutes this year as of Nov. 30th. I am in this to win it. So, for December I will commit to at least 1500 minutes.
IM in...I only lost 4lbs last month also..I will never get to my goal of 100lbs by my daughters wedding at this rate. Im not sure how much exercise i can get in...but i have hubby in with me this time...
