Yaaa! I got a job!
It's just a part time job but its at my favorite place (besides home). I will be working 3 days a week at Curves. This is especially good since my employment insurance benefits just ran out and I was wondering how I was going to pay my monthly membership. Now I dont have to worry because membership is included. Woo Hoo!! Now I feel like someone is actually "paying" me to work out. Life doesnt get much sweeter. Well, a "real" job would be sweeter. I'm starting to feel my self confidence returning slowly with every pound I lose. So hopefully soon I can go to the real world of "real" wages. But I digress. Just excited to be working and working out for free...yaaa me!

Thanks everyone. I'm pretty excited.
Bargoo, what you probably dont know is I have a BSc that I worked very hard for and paid through the nose for but have not used. It is very hard for my family to watch me waste my degree by taking part time minimum wage jobs when i have a degree that would allow me to get a job that pays more than I have ever seen in my life. It's not that I dont want to work in my field, I would love it, but my lack of experience is hindering the process a little. And i know my self confidence is playing a major part. I believe I am a victim of "self sabotage". I guess I need to finish that book to see if its going to tell me how to cure myself of that...lol..anyway. thanks again chicks for your words of support.

You would be surprised. I've made some good connections before through jobs that weren't exactly "real" that helped me to get better jobs. And you can't beat being paid to work out and help others reach their goals!
Congratulations

Inspired, I have to agree with others about connections helping you get a "real' job, and Curves is the perfect place to make those connections. Women from every walk of life go there. I was quite fond of a couple of the young women who worked at the curves where I first went. One of them has had me as her midwife now for 2 babies and is expecting a 3rd. (I guess I got the work, not her) and the other got a great job when she finished her degree with help from a member.
