Occupation: Business Research and Consultancy
Birthday: Aug 30
Marital status: Married going on 7 months
Children/grandchildren: None yet, though the plan is to start next year.
How long have you been on WW/Flex: Since 1/5/08 this time, I did it for a while three years ago and had great success.
How much weight do you hope to lose: 76lbs
What do you do for exercise: I have a WATP 3-mile DVD I love, a TurboJam DVD that kicks my butt every time I do it but it's fun, and a couple of yoga DVDs I alternate between when I'm not feeling up to more aerobic exercise. Then there's walking and DDR. I like to mix it up!
What foods help you stay OP: Almonds... sugar free fudgsicles... 1-point wraps with 8g of fiber ("Flat Out" brand)... fresh, seasonal, beautiful veggies!
Why do you think you'll be successful this time: Last time I was going it alone -- I chose not to tell anyone, didn't have a support network, and was doing WW from home. This time I'm doing WW with my sister, going to meetings, and I have all you lovely people for inspiration and motivation! I think having the necessary support network makes a HUGE difference, and the meetings are going to be integral for me.
What is the biggest obstacle between you and success: Myself... self-sabotage. I have a history of binge eating, and I'm both an emotional and a boredom eater. I've been doing much better the past few months and I really feel I'm starting to learn how to deal with the feelings that bring on a binge... which definitely helps my progress.

I like a bunch of classical music, I like bluegrass and classic country (e.g. townes van zandt), old blues (skip james!) a lot of classic rock, not too much contemporary pop, I tend to love indie rock (but not the emo kind, more like Sufjan Stevens and Iron & Wine). ...a bunch of stuff

What foods help you stay OP: Too soon to say... chocolate pudding and celery sticks (no, not together!) helped today.
Why do you think you'll be successful this time: A different attitude: previously I've always wanted the weight gone asap; this time, I swear I'll be happy if it's just a pound a week. Also, the gym is a new thing for me and I'm optimistic that more exercise will not only improve my attitude but get me away from the fridge (I work at home). Attending meetings, this site.
What is the biggest obstacle between you and success: Allowing my emotions to rule my mind.
How will/did you overcome this obstacle: Two phrases that help are "Mind over matter", and one I read here, "If hunger isn't the problem, eating isn't the solution."
What do you like to do for fun: Read, ride, cook.
What type of music do you like best? Lots. I listen to a pop/rock or soft rock on the car radio, country music on weekend mornings, disco (yikes!) when working out, also love Motown.

We met in college in southwestern PA...someone is from Johnstown? Not far from where we were. We got married out there and lived there for another 4 years after we got married. Then we moved to...
central NY. Noticed a few central New Yorkers. Hi! We lived in the southern Finger Lakes region from Oct. '99 - Sept. '05...before we moved here...to about an hour north of Harrisburg.
