So the weekend was eh..Saturday I stayed on plan and got my water in. Yesterday I was super stressed out and did some stress eating of nono foods. So. It's a new week. Onward and upward!

Monday's plan:
B: Wrap
S: RF String cheese and almonds
L: The last of the chili and cheese
S: RF String cheese and almonds
D: Meatloaf made with TVP and veggies
S: Chocolate ricotta creme

I skipped Day 3 Week 1 of Couch 2 5k due to TOM, so back on track today restarting Week 1. I've got to go grocery shopping after work too so that I have some more varied snack choices.

I wish you all a happy, healthy, on plan Monday!

Good morning, Ladies.

Sorry I've not been around much to offer support and enouragement. I'm feeling a bit anxious and am trying to keep myself super busy so I can't think too much. Last week, I had an ultrasound of my thryoid and it turns out that I have 4 nodules that have grown significantly from last year. This means that they need to do a needle biopsy. I'm scheduled for this on Thursday. The thought of needles in my neck and the possibility of thyroid cancer is really scaring me. Needless to say, I've been seeking comfort in food and the scales aren't smiling for me.
If you believe in prayer, please pray for peace and calm for me as I make it over yet one more of life's hurdles.

Good news! We met with the Dr and he wants to do the laparoscopic procedure, which means day surgery and 4 days out of work. Much better than 3 days in the hospital & 6 weeks out of work. It is scheduled for 12/23....which may sound like bad timing, but I have met my Deductible and coinsurance so it won't cost anything. Plus, after the first day I will feel pretty good. I feel much better! Now if I can just get my knee taken care of.......

mj5- THAT IS AWESOME NEWS!!!!!!

Well I stayed "on plan" meaning I ate under 1800 cal's... waaaay under 1800 cals. I just can't do the eating thing knowing it's going to come up or out in three seconds. I did well up until dinner (still eating even though it was leaving me) and then forwent dinner. I ended up having a slice of my sprouted grain toast with a half serving of cheddar and a yogurt for dinner instead. I'm going to eat in a bit here and I won't be having my popcorn (ouch) or my peach (nope) but I'm thinking some fruit cup or a banana or something.

So for tomorrow (if I'm done spewing)
Day 32 on plan

B- pk oatmeal and 1/2 large banana
s- yogurt and 22 almonds
L- 1 baked salmon fillet, 1 cup brussel sprouts, 1 pc sprouted grain toast with 1 T almond butter
s- 1/2 cup cottage cheese and one applesauce cup
D- 1 cup brown rice, 13 small shrimp with two T mandarin dressing, 1 cup steamed california veggies
s- applesauce cup and 100 cal smart popcorn

this is BEST case scenario... worst case? I ditch it all and live on homemade chicken stock and crackers. wish me luck.

Good Morning! I am SO relieved after my appt last night!!!! I am really glad dh went w/ me too. He was able to ask a lot of questions. The doctor was wonderful and really took the time to answer them and made sure dh was sasified and understood his answers. I am really lucky to have found such great doctors! (and a fantastic dh, of course!) The doctor told us the biggest cyst on my left ovary is the size of a ping pong ball and the one on the right isn't much smaller!

TOM is here and is totally kicking my butt (one of the benefits of the surgery is that TOM will 'ease up' a bit, which is good news for me!!!). I will not use that as an excuse to go off plan, though. I am going to the gym tonight.

I am going to have lunch w/ my younger brother today. He is the one who works out all the time and eats healthy, so eating heathy will not be a problem today! I think it would be hard to choose something 'bad' in front of him!!!!

cfmama--hope you feel better soon!!!

ginger--YEA for new runners! Take care of yourself! When is your interview?

Hi to everyone else. Have a great OP day!

Rhonda sending lots of positive energy your way.
Beverlyjoy - yay for a no foot pain day! and for a great food day!
mj5 - thank you! and yay on the good news!
cfmama - sorry you're sick feel better quick!
Ginger - yay for shoes that feel good..I got a pair of sneakers to work out in and wore them at the dreaded Walmart trip on Saturday - I was racing around that store in my comfy supportive shoes, fastest in and out of there in months!

Yesterday wasn't bad food wise but I'm discovering that nuts give me headaches unless I pair them with something with some carbs. So I had almonds in the afternoon and that set a slight headache that had been there all day into a full blown. I didn't do my couch 2 5k b/c of that. So I will need to do that tonight.

Today's plan:
B: the usual wrap, but half fell on the floor so I finished my son's eggs as he was done with them
S: RF cheese stick and apple
L: Ok so this time it's really the last of the leftover chili and RF cheese
S: Peach Fage yogurt
D: meatloaf with TVP, squash, green beans
S: chocolate ricotta creme with whipped cream

Water, Water, Water

Happy, healthy, Tuesday all!
