Default 30-Somethings Chat ***October 1***

Hi guys. Just got back from the pre-admission testing for the D&C. The lab tech tore up two of my veins. Ugh. I have really good veins but she had a hard time for some reason. I have a huge bump on my hand that is going to be a huge bruise in a few hours. I hope I get a different tech next week.

I have two kids needing me desperately right now. I'll try to pop in again later!

Karen - I am new so forgive me but a D&C? Like Dilation and Curettage? If so, I am very sorry. I am hoping I just am missing some abbreviation thing on here....

Morning All! Another Woe Is Me Not Going To The Gym Day--- I dunno know why I feel like this, I love the gym? I am hoping that this slump ends soon.

Well if I don't go to the gym, I am going to clean, yet again. I can't sit on my rumpus all day long, or can I?
Sorry for the downer post, just am feeling to tired to do anything, gotta get motivated----

Well I'll end here, & try to get on again later. Have a Good Day Ladies!

I never let them go near my hand with a needle. I fight with the techs everytime. I know it hurts like hella too. Feel better!!!

Hi All,

Lady, Of course you may! Tell us about yourself, what plan are you doing, if any.

Karen, Ugh, I usually tell them they have 1 chance to get it right, if they don't, they're done. I hate needles don't have good veins to begin with. When is the D&C?

It's like a madhouse here today. Have a good one all!

Haha @ one chance - brings back memories. They can try all they want in my arm if it's not while I'm in labor. They used a big needle when they wanted to induce my labor. Now that one hurt and she only had one time with that one. Then she tried to battle me and blood was everywhere. Anyway, it was nasty and painful but eventually I gave in because I wanted to see my baby.

I'm into my second week of WW. I lost 2.5 my first week. I need to lose around 80 pounds. I go to the gym 3 to 4 times a week. I actually have to go to the gym...it is an requirement for my degree. So, I am looking forward to my A. I am married with no children. I work in a photo land and I do photography every chance I get. I'm obsessed with The Biggest Loser!

I have fallen in love with the eliptical machine...lol I am a liitle proud that can last 40 minutes. My goal is to go an hour.

I had to go look at what an eliptical machine by Googling it and when I saw the images of what it was I said "oh **** to the no". LOL! Me and that machine do not get along. When I'm at the gym, I walk on the treadmill and look at the eliptical machine out the side of my eye. If you are doing 40 minutes on that thing then you are doing GREAT!!!!

Maybe I'll attempt to do that machine again...hopefully sometime soon.

Asparagus, just reading yesterday's thread...yeah, my PF pain is pretty bad. Started gradually and I knew what it was becuase I had this when my 5 y/o was a baby. Podiatrist said ditch the non-supportive shoes, wait for the cooler weather, and come back when you stop breastfeeding if it's still bothering you for a shot of cortisone! It did go away pretty quickly when the cooler weather came adn I was wearing "good" shoes again. This time is much worse, it's been a couple months. The splint was OK, but I think it's too big. I sleep mostly on my stomach and my heel does not stay in the "heel spot" of the splint when I lay that way. It didn't take quite soo long to be able to walk this AM when I got out of bed though, so maybe it helped.

SBD, LOL, when I was in labor w/#1, I was going natural, it got to the point (transition) where I could not relax my body enough inbetween contractions for him to move down. The flipped me over and gave me 2 shots of Demeral in the butt. I don't remember feeling it. So I guess it's OK for them to give me shots in labor!

Hi again. I have a few minutes. I'm making the kids clean up the playroom. It looks like a tornado blew through.

Lauren: I should have made the tech try my other arm when the first vein blew. My hand still hurts and probably will for a couple days. She did a job on it. I didn't have the option of refusing. They are typing and cross matching for the procedure. I have to get it done so I can have the ablation. I am sick of Aunt Flo being here. Talk about stress eating. I almost lost when I got home, but I did OK. Had my cereal and a handful of almonds (which the kids shared). Lunch now, may be a different story! Oh, the D&C will be Monday afternoon.

Lady: Welcome!! Dive right in. I love the elliptical too, but I can't afford a gym membership. I make do with Wii fit and the treadmill. Yesterday we took the kids for a bike ride after lunch. That was cool. Having DH working from home has some nice perks . Congrats on the nice loss.

Pear: Hey, could you come to my house? I barely have the energy to sit up in a chair these days! I've got a few big cleaning jobs that need to be done that I haven't been able to face yet. Cleaning windows and the ceiling fan in the kitchen are chief among them!

Asparagus: Nope, you got it right. You are not missing any abbreviations. Thanks for the good wishes. I'm in need of them! It has me freaked for some reason. The doc says it's only going to take 5 min. We'll see.

They are making me fast from midnight until after the procedure at 2 in the afternoon. Talk about being in a b!tchy mood by the time they finally give me something to eat!
