Default LABOR DAY GOALS!! Please Join.

OK - need a new goal to help me to refocus. Labor day is about 7 weeks away - so I figured that would work! Anyone else care to join??

Bailey's Goals:
Weight - Ok - I just recently gained 7 back, so I am going very lofty here - I will say I will lose those seven back plus another 1/2 lb per week - or 10.5 lbs. This should put me at 139. I think if I really focus I can do it - or at least get well on the way.

Exercise - I am not sure what activities will be convenient to my schedule, but I do know that I need to allow exercise to recalim time in my life. So, I am going to say that I will set aside 1/2 hour this week and exercise. I will add 1/2 hour each week. By labor day, I should be up to 3.5 hours per week.

Food - Will try to be op for the weight loss goal - However, I want to make a special goal - Over the next 7 weeks I will work my way back to 3 L of H2O and 5-7 F/V a day.

Personal - Continue to follow my routines as best I can to keep me on track for everything I have going on. That's it!

Bailey - I was just thinking that we hadn't had a goal in a long time. As I've said before I don't always do too well on these and sometimes it just makes me feel bad when I fail but I feel like I have control of things again so why not. This week and next week may be bad with the move but then I'll be ready to get back to normal. I've been fluctuating between 148 and 150 lately and I think I'd be thrilled with 142 - I don't know what I'd do if I saw 130 anything!!! So here goes:

Current weight - 149 (as of this morning)
LD Goal weight - 142

That makes it a nice even pound per week on average which should be manageable. I haven't been able to lose more than that in a long time. Although I'd love to, and plan to, see 130something one day, for now I'll be happy to be somewhere where I can gain a couple of pounds and not worry about seeing 150something again! Does that make sense??

Anyway - good luck to everyone who joins!!

July 31 - Decided I might as well just edit this post - although I don't see anyone else posting here but here's the summary stats:

LD Goal Starting Weight : 149

July 24: 146

July 31: 145.5 - very happy still about this because I haven't been perfect and I'm just happy to not have a gain.

Aug 15: 145.0 - I had a bad week or 2 so I hadn't updated but I've finally erased the damages so here's where I am now.

Great idea Bailey!! You're right, it's been awhile since we had a goal. I'll have to think about an appropriate specific goal.

I made it a sticky for everyone, as a reminder everytime you come here!

Yeay!! Glad you guys joined! Elisa - I think the slow-but-steady mindset is the way to go - I always set mine too high - can't control myself. We can do this!

Ok I'm Game!

My goal is to to lose 5 pounds by Labor Day. ( I am always on the conservative side!)

So that would make me down at 190!

Not sure I can post on the main thread as regularly as I used to, but I will join in the challenge!!! I don't want to set a weight loss goal, but I want to pledge to stay totally on my program for the next 6 weeks. To eat what I am supposed to eat, with out splurging too much, and to stay with my new exercise routine. I want to post my weight once a week like I have before, and include exercise. That way I will see how my new exercise program works. See if it delivers like it promises. (I am skeptical!!)

Start Date:7/18 - 149#, TH , F ,

9/5 - 138

My exercise plan failed big time, actually aggrivated a physical problem, that I am still recovering from, but my weight is still coming off. almost 5 lbs. per month. I will keep it up, because I like being thin. And I feel like I have recaptured some of "me" back by reclaiming my previous size.

I've been out of whack for several weeks and my weight has been fluctuating about 3 pounds but I'm averaging around 159.

GOALS
Weight: I'm with Lys. I want to lose 5 lbs.
Exercise: Gym 5 days a week and walk puppy every night.
Food: 2 Sodas a wk, stay OP or within a couple of pts.
Personal: Journal everyday.

7/21 - 159

7/28 - 159 (It was PMS week). Gym all 5 days and walked Abby all but one night. 4 Sodas (2 diet/2 not). Was bad on the eating all weekend but I will go in and journal it.

8/4 - 159 (still maintaining). Gym 3 days then hurt my back so I was laid up the rest of the week. 2 diet sodas but way too much wine. I didn't journal cuz my week got really screwed up when I hurt myself but my eating wasn't too bad.

8/11 -
8/18 -
8/25 -
9/1

Let's go girls!!!!!

OK, I'm back. I'm starting a little late, but better late than never. I am setting my goal to lose 5 pounds by Labor Day. My first weigh in is tomorrow night & I'll figure the 5 pounds from there.

Bailey - You have big goals! I'm glad you started this for us.

Elisa - good luck! I'm with you, sometimes I don't do well on these, but maybe this time we will.

CrochetKaren - Welcome & good luck!

Lyssa - Good luck staying OP! If you do that, the weight will come off.

Liz - there's a few of us 5 pounders - let's do it together.

Well somehow I've managed to have a great week and I hope it doesn't backfire on me. With the moving I've snacked more but eaten less and tried to watch my points. Since I've seen the same weight for 2 days I'm going to write it down and hope it's true.....

Starting Weight: 149
Current Weight: 146
LD Goal Weight: 142

If I even stay the same for the next week I'll be happy since it's been a while since I lost 3 pounds in one week and didn't have it come right back on but I'm keeping the faith!!

How's everyone else doing?

Elisa - woohoo on the 146!

Is everyone planning to update their original goal post or are we going to do new ones?? I don't care one way or the other - just asking.

Rabbit

7/25/02 - 182.75
8/01/02 - 181.5

Hi all, It is time for me to kick things back in gear so I am going to join the Labor day goal challenge.

I have been holding steady since our vacation in June. I am one pound less than before we left. I am glad that I have held steady but it is time to get that scale moving back in the right direction DOWN. I am down 31lbs since the second week in January.

My goals are
1) To start journaling again daily
2) Lose 6 pounds by labor day
3) Exercise at least 4 days per week

Where is everyone? I have been doing well on staying within points and journaling. Have not had time for the exercise yet but will get there.
