I totally blew it on the yoga in August. Can you believe I challenged myself to just a little of it and NEVER did even one session??? Oh well, Sept is a new month with all it's own challenges and fun...I'll have children playing FB VB and soccer and these practices don't offer a nice little time slot for walking, because mostly practice starts right after school so no need to drive in and waite...what to do? Just do it anyway!
I decided to go for maintenance Aug - Nov to give myself a little break both mentally and phisically. I weigh just .8# more than I did on the last day of July so the first month of that went well. I did the same thing last year and it really helped me stay motivated and jump started my metabolism and weightloss when I went back to losing mode last Nov...I'm hoping for all of the above again in '08.
Ok, enough rambling set some goals already heh!!!

50 miles walk
8 hours of yoga

That should be easy and enough to keep a gain away

Good luck everyone!

I'm taking things slow.

Walking
0/10 hours

Misc playground exercise
0/10 hours

Good thing I aimed low. I got a tattoo Friday on the top of my foot and can't wear shoes. Yeouch! I will get this started soon.

Edited again. Foot is healed and I will be starting tomorrow.

I'm going to start doing this again. It seems to keep me honest & I really need to get back on track!

So my goals are 50 miles & 12 hours of weight training.

Great news Gals...glad to see you kicking Sept. off the right way! LOVNMOM...be easy on yourself...there's yoga every day! Believe me I know....Angie is always there

Besides, here we don't worry about what we didn't do or haven't done....that's a real downer! We focus on what we are doing and going to do!

Angie and I ended up doing 3.25 miles in the neighborhood with the dogs. We had to meet my son and daughter in law for breakfast so we didn't do our coffee route. Dogs missed their treats but I am sure they will survive! They didn't have any trouble eating their breakfast when we returned

If I don't get internet access out of town I probably won't be checking in for about 12 days. Have a great start to the month gals

3.25/75 MILES

Welcome zinke and viatre, good luck on hitting your goals!

Welcome back jenjen it's great hearing from you!

Gary, It's going to be hard not to hear from you for 12 days. Your Angie must be one strong chicky. We'll keep it rolling here 'til you're back in the neighborhood. Hope the job goes well.

My children went back to school this morning. The house is soooo quiet. My best friend and I dropped the kids off and then headed out for brkfst and then walked 3 miles to help "get rid" of it. It's become a tradition on the first day of school for us and it was so much nicer than just watching them get on the bus and have the house empty from 7:30 on. Hope you're all doing well too.

3 of 50 miles

So, I've been slacking, but I had an amazing run tonight! I hopped on a treadmill and ran 25:00 nonstop (pretty slow, though, at 5.0) which is probably the longest time I have ever jogged continually. Then I walked a little before running another 5:00, then walking until an hour was up. Really exciting!

That said, I'm just 7 miles into my 50.

7/50 ran/walked for September.

Viatre, I've been quite a slacker, but everything is just so busy...soccer yesterday from 7am to 2:30pm and then church and youth group from 5-8pm. Football volleyball etc...., but I'm maintaining my weight well and did at least do some strength training.
WTG on your run. It feels good to push and accomplish. I hope you are proud of yourself!

Thanks, Lovnmom! I hate it when I have busy days like that and can't get anything done...
