I hate to be negative on my very first post here, but I have to disagree on the carb count.

I'm always in search of the perfect Margarita and am still looking.

It won't contain Cointreau which has 15 carbs per jigger (1.5 oz). The recipe here would have 5 grams of carbs just from the Cointreau alone.

And the lime juice has just over 2 grams carbs per ounce.

I think a Margarita made with 1/2 ounce of lime juice, lime zest mixed in with the Splenda simple syrup, and something else substituted for the Cointreau would be great. Maybe orange extract which has a lot of alcohol in it.

Okay I went and looked it up on the Cointreau website and it agrees with what you stated, so my apologies. Unfortunately the information I had from another source showed it to have no carbs. Next time I'll go directly to the source.

...still searching...

I'm not sure when I'll be imbiding next, but I'm going to stay on the quest for a good low carb Margarita.

I wonder if there's a lime DaVinci syrup.

Was wondering if anyone has tried the Baja Bob's drink mixes and if they are any good? With summer soon approaching and bbq's and parties going on I am looking for a low carb alternative and found these, but am afraid to spend my money on something if it's nasty lol
