Back with coffee in hand and two fed and pottied dogs trying to sleep on my feet - Hershey is winning!

I'm twitchy during t-storms because I got a "fried" modem last year so make sure I'm disconnected. Right now it's raining and the online weather tells me it's sunny with cloudy periods. Duh! Who can you trust these days? The weather station is just one lake over - about two miles away. All this rain is making for a lot of crabbing from the farmers at the diner who are having trouble getting the hay in.

After yesterday's screwed up morning, today has to be better. I will work in a visit to Harry and then go to Brockville to shop. I want to buy a power washer (I'm addicted!) and do a major grocery store shop. The Pypers will be here Monday for the week and we go through a lot of food! John is 16 and considers a quart of milk a "glass". I also need to get my Hershey some premium dog food with no dyes in it to see if that helps her coat. I must get back to making my own now that the veggies are coming in.

Not sure about the weekend yet. My friend John's Aunt Pat died last night after a long battle with cancer and the funeral may be Saturday. Of course I'll be cooking for "the lunch". Nothing ever happens in Delta without food! Some of those food porn pasta salads from yesterday look good but I may end up making my rum cake.

So wakey, wakey. Sip some coffee or whatever and tell us what your day will bring.

GM RUTH, I only use premium and the comments Jade gets on her coat is phenominal! Sorry about the loss of your friends Aunt.

Sorry I wasn't here the last couple days... I had to dis=assemble the desk to get it into the den, but it's in here! Stiill have some small changes to make to both the living room and the den, like put away odds and ends left behind from the move.

Exciting day yesterday, I received a call from one of the places I interviewed last week, going in on monday for a second interview! AND, headed out first thing this morning for an interview with another company! This one is only about twenty mins from my house, which, when one lives out in the middle of "bloomfield", ie the country, 20 mins is a blessing!!!! We'll see what they have to offer!

Morning Ruth ! Sorry your Saturday may be spent at a funeral. I always dread them, then end up having a "good" time seeing folks I haven't seen for a long time. Of course the reason for being there is always so sad.
Have fun grocery shopping today. I have to do some major grocery shopping too today.

Going to swing by and pick up a friend tonight before heading to New Orleans to meet those friends we haven't seen in 35 years. We are all meeting up for dinner, then off to see Benny Grunch. This is a local band who mostly plays "humor/parody" type stuff. Very original ...where the lyrics all focus on New Orleans cultural stuff that we find hilarious. One of those "you have to live here to get it things". They also do 50's and 60's music. Should be a lot of fun.

Just kind of hanging around the house today and may take a nap this afternoon so I can stay out late and party. Something "popped" in one of my eyes and it's all red this morning (I think sinus pressure). Hope it will not be noticeable tonight.

Ya'll have a wonderful day!

Lori, we were posting at the same time! Will keep my fingers crossed for you about that job!

Good morning. I was up way too late last night listening to the stories from Cindy and Richard's trip. You'd think they'd be exhausted after their long flight, but they were wired! They got back to the farm around 5, and as the car came through their gates, the girls rolled down the windows and were leaning out screaming my name. Needless to say, I was deluged with hugs and kisses and had a child on my lap the rest of the night. Richard's parents made dinner for all of us, and we had a wonderful time relaxing around the table listening to all the adventures they had. It sounds like it was a spectacular trip, and one the girls will remember the rest of their lives.

So I don't know what's on the agenda for today. It depends on how tired everyone is, I guess, and Cindy was leaving the day open. It's going to be hot as Hades out, so swimming may be in the plans. We have to do some harvesting in their garden, too. The girls were delighted to discover the zucchini, cucumbers and tomatoes that were ready to be picked. I'll have the girls make us a big salad for lunch.

Right now I need more coffee.

Sounds like a busy week ahead for you again, Ruth! You can never have too much food around when teenagers are in the house, believe me! They're always hungry! And I bet they really enjoy your cooking.

Loriann, I hope your second interview pans out! It sounds like the ideal situation for you!

Good morning and happy Friday! My day is starting out a little slow, I skipped my bike ride at 3:30am this morning, not feeling too guilty about it as I will workout with Richard Simmons this evening. It's now 6:15am and I am at work getting ready to start my day, have my coffee next to me and little bowl of oatmeal and I'm all set =)

Today my son (who will be 12 next week) is getting 2 teeth pulled in preparation for braces, my husband, David, is taking him this morning and I will leave work at 11am for the day and go home to baby him when it's all done. Any suggestions for soft, picky kid friendly foods to offer him the next couple of days would be greatly appreciated.

This weekend holds nothing special for us, which is really kind of nice considerting the last several weekends have been so full I looked forward to returning to work just for the routine. We will do our extended bike rides Saturday and Sunday and the rest is up in the air =) I do play an online video game really early in the mornings on the weekends so I will do that too but other than that and the normal...grocery shopping, budget, laundry and kids...nothing else planned =)

You all have an awesome weekend and remember to relax!!

Jennifer

Hi chicks, sipping my tea and contemplating this enormous list of to-dos. I'm sure we'll be ready to pull out at 1:00 though and I will heave a huge sigh of relief once we are across that damn bridge and are officially "on vacation." Can't let myself get too much into vacation mode though, since I am taking some work along.
May as well confess now that I have two planned cheats over the next week. They are both things I've decided I will have once a year, and it's time! Just gotta make sure it doesn't turn inot one long cheat week. It would be really great to come back with a loss, but I'm dreaming...
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and week and I'll pop back in next Friday.

Good Morning Chicks! Another steamy one here today!

Schmoodle Have a great trip! "See" you next week.

Nessa Good job jumping back on! I know you will find a way to enjoy lunch today someway or another!

Loriann good luck with the job!

My nightmare closing went well yesterday, only one small glitch that I handled with a smile and a sigh of relief, if that was going to be the only problem after weeks of fighting this file I was more than willing to take it.

Looks to be a quiet weekend, food shopping on my list of things to do also, the kitchen is getting pretty bare. Need to tend to the garden, looks like in about a week I will have more tomatoes than I know what to do with! Going to try to find a wii fit but somehow doubt that will happen, I need to live closer to a big city.

Have a great friday ladies!

Good morning, everyone

staying home during the day today so that DS can catch up on his rest. He's crabby - crabby 2 year olds are no fun.

Have to go out and get a gift card for MIL's birthday.

MIL's birthday is tonight at a local mexican place....I wish I could have a margarita. These past few days are definitely putting me in the mood to drink.

MIL is neurotic. REALLY neurotic. It's driving me nuts.

Off to make some hot cereal for the family.

Check back later.

Have a great morning
