Talking Is this burning any calories?

I have the worst case of hiccups in this decade. Nothing is working and I must be heard across the street (good thing I am at home).
Do you think I am burning any calories?
(Just kidding, of course, but I am getting tired of it after 25 minutes or so).

This will sound bizzare.... but sometimes my hiccups go away when I start playing an addictive videogame.

For the internets, I suggest finding an internet version of Tetris or playing "TextTwist" on Yahoo games.

Of course if you've got things to take care of this may not be the best way to get rid of them...

Take a drink of warm water with your head between your legs.

Well, you could probably take a sip of the water, then swallow it once you put your head between your legs... lol.

I vote for the concept that you're burning LOTS of calories. Positive thinking, eh? But even though you're getting an AWESOME working out, I hope they go away for you soon!

My sympathies. Hiccuping is so irritating!

This method has never failed for anyone on which I've used it:

Take a glass of water.

Bend over from the waist. Don't spill the water.

Drink the water while you're upside down, from what is usually the "far" edge of the glass. (You'll have to drink from that edge because you're upside down. If you try to drink from the other edge, you won't be able to.)

Keep drinking as much as you can, until you can't drink any more (or the glass is empty).

Stand back up.

Your hiccups should be gone.

Thanks guys. I was surfing various 3FC forums and when I got back here and there were some replies, I suddenly realized the hiccups are gone! I don't even know when it stopped - because my mind was so focused on 3FC. Although not that Jo confirmed it was burning LOTS of calories maybe I wish it lasted a bit longer .... hehehe.

JayEll, I will definitely try your suggestion the next time this happens - I hope I can do it.
