i keep eggs for a week hard boiled. NOT a problem for me... but this is how I boil them:
put the raw eggs in a pot of cold water. put the pot on the stove to boil. watch it carefully when it comes to a hard boil I boil them for NINE (9) minutes. then I replace the boiling water in the pot with ICE and cold tap water.... perfect eggs.. no green ring, no rubber..
oh and older eggs (a week or so) peel better than brand new eggs...
