Default Monday Murmurings and Mutters

"Monday, Monday, so good to me" Now I have an ear worm for the day.

I'm dragging a bit this morning. I think I'm overtired after a hectic weekend. This week is another over-booked one but I am going to shift around some appointments to make it more manageable. I have to keep reminding myself that I'm retired.

It really poured again last night and is still raining lightly so there will be no gardening today. My begonia planter on the back deck is full of water. I guess the drainhole was never opened when Donny filled it with earth for me. I'll have to take it apart and do it over, a muddy job! However, it looks like today will be an indoor day so I'll settle in for sewing and dog adoration.

Disney went to Church yesterday, behaved beautifully and charmed everyone. She's still a keeper. The dog testing went well yesterday - there were only four to test. We had pre-screened so it went well and all passed. Now I have 16 monitored visits to do over the next six weeks!

Hmmm....another coffee needed and then I may just curl up with a book for a bit.

I wish you a peaceful Monday whatever you do.

Monday already. I had a pretty full weekend, too, with a houseful both days. That's one of the disadvantages of having a pool, but it was fun to watch the grandkids having a blast, and the water felt so good in this brutal heat.

Audrey has an interview at the new school she's starting in Sept., so both girls are skipping school today, and after Audrey gets back we're going to spend the day here at my house enjoying the pool. Tomorrow's the last day of school, and they both have class parties all day. Then the long summer begins, which means my days will be much longer, too. Oh, well.

I'm skipping Curves this morning, my tummy is a little "off" after eating some major food porn yesterday. That's the price we pay, I was up most of the night with indigestion. Ugh.

Stay cool today! You're all invited over, but bring your own towels!

Good Morning ladies!!

Ruth....enjoy the rain...we can't beg for a drop down here!! Send half of yours our way and I'll send you half of the sunshine here!

Cotttage....food porn....that makes me laugh everytime i read it! I'll bring a towel and a few extras!! haha

janda....sounds like summer break can't come quick enough for you!!

The weekend always zooms by so quickly and seems to be so full...next weekend I'm going on protest and having one whole day to myself!! Although with it being father's day, that may be difficult...we'll see. I've been reading about the salmonella outbreaks in certain states caused by tomatos (it was only one certain variety, but can't remember which). I'm still waiting to see if Alaska is added to that list because I do believe that's what got me...everything says it lasts btw 5-7 days and that's about right for what I had.

Anyhoo...Today is my first day back on Phase 1....I've been prety well sticking to PH2 since I got home and got sick...except for this weekend....major food porn (as cottage put it) so now I"m back in PH1 for the whole 2 weeks and onward from there....I'm so excited about it as well!! I was actually able to put on a shirt that I bought about a month ago, and it was actually baggy....WOOHOO!!!

Happy Monday everybody!

Happy Monday ladies. We awoke at 6AM to a test of the emergency notification system here in town. Not a fun way to start the week. I plan to call and complain as soon as I've had my coffee and feel like I can be civil. It was a fun weekend and I'm sorry it's over. Today they are predicting over 100 degrees, so I am predicting we'll hit the pool as soon as the kids get home from school. Hope you all stay comfortable and cool!

Good morning ladies! Well, we had pretty strong storms last night and even lost power for about 3 hours! I am off today -- yay! So, I plan to take the girls for their portraits! Honestly, I am kind of dreading it as it is a big job, but my mom said she'd come to help, so that's good. And I know I'll be so happy once they are done -- I have matching dresses from Gymboree!

Otherwise, just having turkey chili for dinner that I made yesterday -- I hope its good.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Morning,

I'm running late this morning. I just did not want to get up. I had my official weigh in on Sunday morning. I'm down 6 pounds. Yay!! I had wished for more, but considering my slip ups, I will take it and run. I am wearing a shirt that was stressing the buttons in March, so I'm content.

I have also been reminding myself, that I haven't been craving the "real" cokes and junk as much and the drive thrus miss me. So, I think I accomplished something.

Gotta get to work!

Another quick fly by for me. What a weekend! Saturday we had major flooding in our part of Indiana. We were in indianapolis at the time and all major routes home were closed. Broke down and stopped to check in at a hotel only to have a group of guys walk in behind us that had just come in from our neck of the woods. They informed us of the only route open home, so we ventured out and made it home just before dark.

As luck would have it we sit high enough that we are ok. Can't say that for many others though including some that I work with. Expecting more storms today which isn't going to help.

Time to fly, I am sure I am going to hear from many past and current customers today with flooding issues.

Have a great day chicks!

Morning Ladies....Happy Monday!

Quick post today as I have a lot of duties to get to before I head to work this morning. Had a FANTASTIC weekend with my family at the Balloon and Wine Festival out here. Camping was great, the festival was lots of fun, and there was way too much food porn!!! Consequently I gained....but that was expected. I had planned to be on Phase one this week knowing we would be gone for the weekend. So back to meats and veggies....shouldn't be too bad, I just need to get to the store to be totally prepared. Glad to hear that everyone is safe and well. Have a fantastic day!
ENJOY!!!

Morning chicks. A quickie this morning. I am super cranky. I have quit smoking and today is day one. I have been taking Zyban for two weeks, and have cut down alot. But I refuse to gain any weight. So I am chugging water like crazy But I am so cranky it is not funny. Which is odd cause the last two weeks I have hardly wanted to smoke. Oh well gotta to dash and go doing something to take my mind off it. Check in later.
