Hi Paige, and welcome! You've come to the right place if you need encouragement, support and motivation. You'll find many friendly people who have been through, or are going through the same thing as you. Search around and find threads that match your needs and interests, then dive right in , the water's fine! Good luck on meeting your goals!

Hi there,
I am in the same situation as you. I weighed 201 pounds when I gave birth. The doctor even said, "You really don't have to gain anymore weight." Mortifying. I knew he was right, especially since my baby weighed only 4 pounds, 6 ounces. I had 50 pounds to lose. That was 10 months ago.

Well, I lost the first 20 lickety-split in the first month. After that, my weight loss came to a standstill for about nine months. Well, my reunion is coming up in mid June. I decided it was time to be a little more proactive. It also didn't help that I saw an old frenemy from high school who said, "You used to be so teeny in high school." Hag.

My friend had done well on WW that she did at home. I decided to do the same and added brisk walking to my daily regimen. I lost another 10 pounds in a month. Well, after a couple new exercise videos for strength training and pilates, I have dropped another 4 pounds in a couple more weeks.

You can do it. Don't forget to reward yourself; for me, that is the best part.

how long ago did you have your baby and are you nursing?
nursing helps take the weight off pretty easily

I lost weight for about the first two months while nursing, but then my appetite caught back up with me. Walking is a great way to get back at it again. I don't know if you have access to a pool, but swimming has really helped my thighs. Don't be too hard on yourself to lose it so fast. "They" say it takes nine months to put on the weight and it will take just as long to take it off. In my case, a few months longer than that.
