Default Stagnant! :( Help me please!

Hi everyone! I'm a comeback kid - I joined 3fc a while ago, fell off the bandwagon, and am getting back on track.

I have about 50 lbs to lose, and I've been doing really well the last few weeks: restricting calories from my diet, trying to get enough protein, even "jogging" as best I can 3 times a week. And... nothing. I am still exactly where I started. I need help! What should I increase/decrease? Has anything worked for the rest of you? Anything will help!

How old are you (if you don't mind me asking ) and how many calories have you been eating? Are you writing down everything that goes into your mouth? Staying hydrated? All that fun stuff ? How many hours of exercise would you say you're getting a week and what's the intensity level like for you?

I'm 20 years old, in my third year of college (the dining hall hasn't done much for me, needless to say...)

I'm doing a pretty good job of staying hydrated, I think. Exercise... aside from walking everywhere I go, I'm probably doing about three hours a week, and it's more intense than anything else I've ever done!!! haha. As far as food goes, I'm writing down ab-so-lute-ly everything. Thoughts?

You are doing great and are well on your way to your 50 lbs mark! I TRY to workout in the morning. I just try to convince myself that losing weight is worth the loss of 1 hours sleep. (of course it takes me a few minutes to believe that, LOL)

Well.. it sounds like you are doing what you are supposed to. The scale may have not moved, but what about inches? I've lost only 4.5 lbs but I lost over 12 inches so far with doing what you are doing pretty much. Do you feel like your clothes fit better or any kind of NSV? =)

How many calories?

I'm in third year of college too . I'm just finishing up exams now. What kinds of exercise are you doing also?

Edit: Sorry, I meant are you only doing the jogging? And if so, how long have you been jogging for?

Have you incorporated strength training in your exercising. That should shake things up a bit.

Good ideas! Strength training sounds good. And maybe I should push myself a little more on the aerobic exercise. Thanks for the help!
