Hi Ladies,
Youall sound like an interesting bunch, may I join in? I, too, am a teacher.........Jr. High Special ED, multicategorical, and RETIRED 2 years ago! Yeehaw! Now I spend my time doing outdoor things such as riding my mountain bike and kayaking on the Greenbrier River, which is 5 miles away. We also have a hiking, biking trail there which I visit every evening with my Beagle after it cools off. Yesterday he found a deer bone in the woods, and I almost didn't get him to come home with me!
I understand the cat business too...........I have two Maine Coons, whom I love and adore. They're both about 3. My male has a lousy coat and refuses to be brushed, so he gets groomed every six weeks or so. I never thought I'd be doing that! I used to have Standard Poodles, and had them groomed, but a cat?
I clerk for 2 WW meetings a week. One is a traditional meeting and the other is an At Work at our local hospital. That's a really neat group...........30 of them lost 500lbs in 10 weeks! Can you believe it? Some of them have lost more in 10 weeks than I have in a year and a half. Thirty years ago I lost 101 lbs, my husband died, I went back to school, and it took me a while, but I finally gained it all back and then some. What a jerk! My mother was an alcoholic, and I'm convinced I have her addictive personality. Thank goodness the new program is so much easier to live with; however, I'm always trying to figure out a way to "beat the system", so have been playing with the same five lbs. since February. I'm sure if they could find someone else to do it they'd can my butt, but in a small town, what are they going to do?
