Default chocolate ice cream

Ok soo my husband LOVES ice cream and CHOCOLATE..more than I do!
Since we've started the beach (last thursday, our 1 week anniversary!!) he has been craving ice cream...and chocolate...
We have an ice cream maker, power one. when We got it, my rule was that we can't buy ice cream from stores after that! We've stuck to that.
Before I always did 2% milk, and 1/2 + 1/2...better than whole milk and heavy cream...
So last night I made some:
1c 1% milk
2c fat free 1/2 +1/2
2 TBSP dark cocoa
1/2c splenda.

I heated up the milk and mixed in the cocoa and splenda, chilled it. Added the 1/2 +1/2. Put it in the maker and it came out pretty good. My DH enjoyed it. he said it was more slushy though, I think that's because of the 1% instead of 2%. I know its not the best dessert out there. But, if it helps him to not binge on worse ice cream or chocolate, I'm happy!
What do you guys think?

hmmm... you could, I don't know how it would come out though...
You could just mix the ingredients together and then throw in the freezer....
Alls you can do is try. I know there was a recipe for Strawberry Icecream with strawberry jello. I don't believe she used an ice cream maker..

This sounds yummy! How many 1/2 cup servings do you think it makes?

I'm wondering about that much FF 1/2 n' 1/2. The thing is that it's mostly sugar and the only reason it's okay on SBD is that you usually use such a small amount in your coffee that it's not a problem. But I think this recipe could work out to a much bigger portion of sugar in each serving and, thus, be a problem for Phase 1.

How about this, instead:

2c 1% milk
1/4c fat free 1/2 +1/2
3/4c evaporated skim milk
2 TBSP dark cocoa
1/2c splenda.
