Talking I can totally do this. I'm so psyched!

So I'm finally making some lifestyle changes! I went out and bought a bunch of different types of veggies at the grocery market and I plan on trying a different recipe every night this week to see what I do and don't like veggie-wise...I also bought fruit/yogurt smoothies for the mornings when I wake up.

I've quit smoking for a month now. I'm also starting a new routine, just something to get me back in the groove of working out. I'm going to be doing some simple yoga moves in the mornings to wake me up and get myself ready for the day as well as some at night to calm down and meditate a little before I go to sleep. I'm also going to be walking for 30 min each morning [slowly build myself up to jogging/running].

<----- is very determined!!! The yoga and meditation should help calm me down in general as well. I've been getting a lot of sleep lately which is helping me cut down on anxiety/panic attacks.

The drinking lots of water is helping too I've also discovered that "Naked" fruit smoothie drinks are DELICIOUS. They're almost orgasmic for me lol. Yum.

Yay me!

I don't want to burst your bubble, but those fruit juices have MORE calories than Coke does (and some of them are downright ridiculous in calories -- 150-160 to up to over 200 in calories per 8 oz!!). You would be much better off blending your own smoothies, or like I do, just eat the fruit itself!

Quitting smoking is AWESOME!!!!! Congrats on that amazing feat!!! You'll be so much better off -- you won't age horribly, you'll add years to your life, and you'll breathe bettter!!

Good luck on the beginning of your journey!!

Amanda Leigh, Isn't that the greatest feeling!?! Going from being depressed/intimidated by the amount of weight you need to lose - to be EXCITED and soo up for the challenge.. You go girl!

Smart choices - One day at a time.

Thanks guys!

HarpoChicoGroucho: I know about the calories lol. One huge thing I did yesterday was read all the labels on the foods I was buying [I was so proud of myself and in shock at what I had been eating at the same time!]. I did decide that if I wanted to indulge myself, the Naked smoothies were better than chocolate cake I ended up getting a different type of yogurt/fruit smoothie for my breakfast though [Dannon lite, I think? I dunno] that was tasty and MUCH lower in calories.
