Cool Detox Tea

I just tried The Republic of Tea's Get Clean tea.

This stuff is Great! The label says:

Quote:
Had too much of a good thing? Feeling out of balance, a bit heavy or puffy? Then it's time to get clean. This gentle naturally caffeine-free herbal detox blend helps the body help itself as it stimulates the liver, one of our natural cleansing mechanisms.

Ingredients: Rooibos (leaf), Milk Thistle (seed), Indian Sarsaparilla (root), Dandelion (root), Chicory (root), Burdock (root), Red Clover (herb), Natural Vanilla Flavor, Natural Almond Flavor
It's tasty and after one glass I feel better.

Has anyone else tried products like this?

I did one of the Super Dieters Teas years ago.

Um. Two words:

BUTT BOMB!

I want to lose weight, but not like that!

Crusing4me -- I LOVE peppermint tea. The traditional medicinals organic peppermint is my FAVE. I drink 2-3 cups a day. My demon was diet coke ... and the peppermint tea seems to be a great replacement.

Jane Zoe - the Get Clean tea does not have any Senna in it. Senna is the stuff that causes the bomb. LOL. I won't touch the stuff.

My mom loves Republic of Tea, but I've never heard of this one. It sounds like it would be worth a try. Is it hot or cold? I suppose you could have it either way?

Uh ... kidney failure is not something that detox tea is going to help.

If you're having those kinds of kidney problems, skip the tea and go right to the doctor. Anything you take or drink that affects your need to pee is something that you should talk to your doctor about first.

Default Dandelion Tea

Someone was telling me about adding a few glasses of dandelion tea to your diet really helps. I just do not know where to find it.

Writergirl -

The Vitamin Shoppe carries a wide range of teas including dandelion tea. There's one on Poplar Ave near Mendenhall. The Whole Oats market across the street might carry it too.
