OMG! I am the tallest one here, so far. Actually I am not quite 5'2". I rounded it up about 1/2".

Gail! We haven't been here too long. Since December maybe. Its basically a product of me being on 3FC too many times a day and noticing there are a lot of short chicks on here.

I hear ya. I am still short today. Still a bit "fluffy", too.

Do you other shorties have trouble getting clothes to fit? I am short-waisted and relatively long legged. I have a terrible time getting things to fit me smoothly on top. A dress with a waist always gapes out in the middle of my back. Especially when I am near my goal weight.

Also, I am thick in the waist, so by the time I get something to fit at the waist, the crotch is down around my knees. So chic!

I think some of the catalogs that sell petite sizes just cut about half an inch off the bottom of the garment and call that good. There is absolutely no real proportioning. Even with my "relatively" long legs, the petite sizes are always a few inches too long.[/rant]

Gail--The clothing thing is a huge issue. I carry a lot of weight in my stomach and so I find the pants fit me everywhere except my stomach. Or it fits across my stomach but huge everywhere else. I've told many people I've had fantastic luck at Kohl's. Not the last few times though. I just need to be able to fit in my petite capris this summer so I don't have to even think about shopping.

Teacher1--I really am pushing to not have to shop for the summer. Last summer I didn't have to. I am hoping this summer I won't have to again. My wardrobe consists of capri pants or shorts with a county t-shirt. I want to buy because I want to not because I have to.

I'm really upset tonight. I applied for another teaching position and found out I didn't get it. I still have a job but it's very sad.

Teacher1--I know it is upseting now but I am a true believer in things happen for a reason. When I was planning to leave my last job I applied to two places and didn't get the jobs. Then I applied for my current job and got it. Looking back I am very happy I didn't get those other jobs. I know what goes on behind those doors and I wouldn't have been happy.
