Smile Newbie saying Hi!
I just wanted to introduce myself and, hopefully, you will not mind if I join in here. My name is Joyce. I am 35 years old and have 3 boys, a 13 year old and a 10 month old. I am a teacher and live in Florida.

I’ve done LAWL on and off for a couple years now. I start losing good, then sabotage myself and go off plan. Now, I’ve had another baby and am determined to finally get rid of all my extra weight now. It is something I have to do for my health. I’m hoping to find the support here that I need to finally be successful.

My starting weight on 1/7/08 was 267, my long term goal is 150, my 1st mini goal is 240 (only 10 more lbs to go on that one…yay), and my current weight is 250.

If you have any questions about me feel free to ask. I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Welcome Joyce. You will find loads and loads of support here on this board. Everyone is so helpful and someone is always willing to give hugs or a kick in the keyster when needed. Glad to have you. We have a Friends and Losers Thread weekly that we just post our random thoughts on.

Hi Joyce! Post early and post often.. You'll find this is a great place for support and suggestions... General questions and conversation takes place in the "Losers and Friends" topic thread...

There are lots of great recipies at the top of the page, which I'm sure you may have noticed as well...

We'll help you stay with the program just as long as you promise to help us stay on plan as well!!

Hi Joyce! I am kind of new here too! I have lurked around in the past 6 months posted occasionally .........I lost 12 pounds in the fall on LA but fell off the wagon. I updated my siggy today and hope to post more so I can find the support I need to get the weight off!!! My third child is 12 months old and I have yet to lose my "baby" weight.

Come get support and lend support. It is a nice place to get encouraged and to share the troubles of losing. If you keep working at it, you can be successful. The main trick is to find something you can keep doing for a long time.

Our stats are very close! We have the same goal and started at almost the same exact weight! (I started LAWL at 263.1)

You have done great! Keep up the good work!

Default another newbie saying hi
My name is Ruth. I did LA weight loss twice and loved it both times. I lost the weight then quit going and never did try maintenance.
I have 3 grown kids and 4 grandkids (Grammy's Angels). I am looking forward to starting the plan. I plan to start take off tomorrow. I have my old information from that but it sounds like the gold plan has changed somewhat.
I hope it is ok that I am joining here. Also, if I have done anything wrong with the post, please let me know.

Ruth, you did just fine! Welcome. I don't know how the gold plan changed or how long ago you did it, but if you had success with it before, then it is a good plan for you. Lots of us are on slightly different plans and that does not mean we can't help and support each other.

Sorry it took a few days to get back on here. I managed to get a kidney infecton so I wasn't feeling too hot to say the least. I'm just now starting to feel better.
