Default Everyone Weigh in 02/01/08

It's time again for the international 3FC general weigh in thread. Everyone is welcome to join, just jump in whenever your official weigh in day rolls around. Good luck, everyone!

Me: 177.5, down 1 pound from last week. Well, sorta. We had a snow day here in beautiful wilds of East Missouri, and I took a day off to build snowmen, go sledding, and not crash my car into trees. Okay, mostly the last one. Anyways, I stayed up way later than I normally do, woke up way later too. My weight was about 175.5 when I finally dragged myself out of bed. But... I did weigh myself close to the time I normally do for the weekly "real" weight, and that's the number I'm going with. I hope I see the other number real soon though!

My first weight in since I joined here a few days ago.. Then my weight was 154 pounds. Today the scale showed 151.5 =), that feels great. I know it goes faster in the start. Hope to loose some more until next month.

The same as last week....134. I was soooo hoping to see 133 but maybe this weekend. Saturdays seem to be my low day. So...here's to hoping for it tomorrow. But still...134 isn't bad. Kinda weird my weight really never went up much with TOM. Only about 2 pounds up during it. Strange indeed?>?>?>?

I weigh in on Wednesdays so I'll use my weigh in from this week (Jan 30). I weighed in at 204. No budge in the scale, but some inches have been lost!

Still 250 but thats okay...still got a lot of fight in me! Trying to get my calories up since being sick, I just might need to be eating more, thinking somewhere between 1600-1700 calories vs the 1200 I have been eating now.

You too? I woke up feeling like absolute **** this morning. The only thing I wanted to eat was cereal. So I broke Atkins and did it. Well....half an hour later I felt a ton better, lol.

144 - down a pound from last week. W00t! I figured out that I have lost just over 20% of my body since I started. I am 73% of my way to goal.

134 for me today. That's about 7-8 lbs in the last 10 or so days. I'm actually eating worse, too, so no idea what's up with this loss!

Default Huh?

I am new and also recently joined a "Biggest Loser" weight loss challenge at work. I have lost 6.6 pounds so far with a 2.4 pound loss this week. We officially weigh on paydays, biweekly...but I weigh myself at least weekly, if not daily. I think it helps me stay on top of trouble spots before they get out of control.

I have a question though, if I am steady losing weight by eating well and exercising almost daily, why does my fat percentage go up or stay the same rather than to go down? We use a Tanita( I think??) scale that we get from the health club my boss also owns, so it should be accurate and good quality equipment. I just don't understand how that works at all. Any thoughts?

Also, as I watch the scale, the numbers change alot up to 5 pounds or more up and down, for no real reason I can see. If I counted what I have gained and lost more than once during this competition, I would be way ahead of everyone else, lol! I weighed in the first day, went up during the week 5 pounds and still managed to lose 4.4 pounds during that period, and while I didn't go that high, I did gain again and lose again this time too. I want to stay on a steady downward slope, how do I do that?

I use an elliptical trainer, dumb bells, and do lunges and squats for lower body strengthening. I use portion control as my weight loss method, but do try to make good low calorie choices for most of my meals and snacks. I do no do well with depriving myself of any food, so I just try to make sure it's worth the extra effort I will need to compensate for it.

Anyway, thanks for reading...I'd love any input on what anyone thinks might be helpful to me in this journey to be the best me! Looking forward to cheering for everyone, too. :cheer :

Sorry, got a little excited there for a minute!!

Broke my stall with a very good 3lb loss this week. I hope it continues now. Just 2lb away from my mini-goal.
