Unhappy Embarrassing question...

I started taking ControlTrim powder last week. I don't know if it's because of that or not, but I got really constipated. I am a vegetarian and normally I go to bathroom twice every single day....

What to do? Since I have never had that problem - I don't even know what are the home remedies for that...

Prune juice is a home remedy, Miralax is available over the counter and is easy on your body won't give you cramps and helps keep you regular, or try metemucil.

I am not familiar with the product you are using, but I am familiar with constipation. It usually comes from not getting enough fiber. Exercise is also a component. The more you have your outside moving, the more the inside is moving as well.

With that said, what have you changed besides adding the diet product? If you are a vegetarian you should be getting lots of fiber. Have you changed the kinds of fluids you are drinking? Perhaps the product is changing how your body processes fluids and fiber.

If you haven't changed anything except adding the product, you may need to check with your doctor to see if this is a good product for you to be using.

There is a great herbal tea from Medicinal Nutritionals called Smooth Move. A good cup of it before bed will work wonders in the morning.

I have not been active for couple of weeks, that's true... And usually I swim 3 times a week and do cardio in the gym twice, so every weekday! I never knew that might be a factor in this case... Hmm, I was planning on going back to the gym tonight and now I am definitely going to go!

Other than not exercising - nothing has changed. Just adding the ControlTrim, which supposedly has a lot of fiber, too. Must be the lazying around then! I shall go on the elliptical tonight, 45 minutes on Hill Climb.

I was told when I complained about the ControlTrim causing gas and bloating that I should start out just taking one pill per dose rather than two. Once my system got used to that, I could increase. I'm losing well without it now so haven't tried it again to confirm that that really works. But, I'd think it wouldn't hurt anything in your situation.

Just a thought, but I know from personal experience that when I increased fiber in my diet I had to increase fluids or I got really constipated. Try the hot lemon water and see if that gets 'things moving'.

Good luck
