I love Fiber 35 bars. They are the closest thing to a candy bar I have found. They only have 130 calories and tons of fiber to fill you up in between meals. They come in peanutbutter and chocolate.

Hard boiled eggs, nuts, an apple, raw veggies with hummus, ham or turkey rolled up with cheese, strips of red pepper, lettuce, etc., whole grain crackers with natural peanut butter or Laughing Cow Light Cheese, baby carrots dipped in peanut butter (I discovered in an airport when this is all I had left that it is really good).

I looked up those bars, and they look kind of interesting. No refined sugars added, but they are high in sugars from other sources (dates, raisins, agave nectar). I would be careful with them. Iowa Girl, when you eat them, do they not cause you any cravings?

That's right, those are just general ideas. You won't be on Ph1 for too much longer. The crackers and fruit would have to wait until then.

I've gotten addicted to the baked cheese "crackers" from the recipe forum. Other things that have helped:

cucumbers w/ salt
nuts
dill pickles
boiled egg
sf popsicles (esp the Lifesavers ones - 20 calories and they taste awesome!)
sunflower or pumpkin seeds

Good luck & hang in there!

I always struggle with P1 snacks myself. My main ones are string cheese, a serving of nuts (sometimes plain, sometimes spiced or sweetened with cinnamon and Splenda - there are recipes on here), and roasted chickpeas with spices. I look forward to being able to add in more snack variety in P2!

I love string cheese, dry roasted almonds, mocha ricotta creme, veggies dipped in red pepper hummus or peanut butter.

How about celery dipped in peanut butter, or olives? I also eat the sugar free, fat free pudding cups every once in a while. You could also have the sugar free jello cups, although they don't really fill you up much.

Everyone has already given you some really great suggestions. I recently tried the turkey pepperoni "chips" from the recipe section of the board and they were really delicious! I'd imagine these are even better with just a little bit of shredded reduced fat cheddar on top.

I'm a big fan of sugar snap peas as a snack, and nuts are always my easy go-to. A single serving of plain yogurt is also good for on-the-go.

keep in mind that carrots and pudding cups need to wait until phase 1.

I liked deviled eggs and hard boiled eggs on phase 1. Yogurt is always good and veggies with hummus or Laughing Cow light it mostly what I have in phase 1. Ham and Cheese rollups also work.

I was just on Kraft's site for diabetics and they had a good looking snack.
They took a big slice of bellpepper and stuffed it with cream cheese and then wrapped a turkey/ham slice around it. Looked like a little stuffed boat.
You could use laughing cow cheese instead.
