Default Need help...possibly TMI

Hey girls! So I need help. I just got my period and it is making it EXTREMELY difficult to exercise. I actually cut my program in half yesterday!! And today, I feel worse (cramping, headache, fatigue). What do you guys do during that damn time of the month???? Maybe I just need motivation!! BTW...this is my first period since the addition of my son in March.

Thanks in advance to anyone who replies!

Carrie

For the days when it's really bad (like, throwing up from the pain bad) I give in and go to bed with a hot water bottle a an economy size container of midol! Generally I work through it if it's just a sore back and cramps, 'cause I find that it really does help me feel better if I exercise. If you're feeling really crappy, though, I'd just let it be until you feel better. Or try some yoga- that usually helps with cramps and soreness. Hope you're feeling better soon!

Believe it or not docs say cardio helps...if you can muster it. Makes the body warm which relaxes the muscles...

I take two midol and two advil and hit the treadmill. I may not do much else, but I get in my cardio. I may only do 30 minutes, but I feel better when I am done.

I am going to agree with all of the posters above. 1, cardio will make you feel better, and 2, be moderate and take something beforehand.

Thanks girls! I figured that doing cardio would be good that's why I didn't skip yesterday. But good idea about taking something beforehand. I will try that tonight.
