I'm 5'7. Yeah, pretty much i think it is a muscle vs fat issue. I used to weigh 120 about 3 years ago and i looked completely different [smaller] and i could fit in a 5/6 if i wanted to. Now my weight is lower but i have more body fat, i can't even squeeze in that size.

I am with you Tea, I have never really been my ideal weight, so I am willing to change it- 165 was just a nice round number, I think as I get down though, I will end up changing it to 150.

I chose my goal, because at one point I did look good. However, my shape has changed since gaining this weight over 5 years and then just having a baby 14 months ago. I am starting to see what I like in the mirror, but I still have pudge around the waistline. I think as my weight drops I will know where I really want to be. I know that I do not want to be any lower than 120. I was to skinny when I was below that. I am 5'7" with small bones.

My goal weight is one that I maintained for seven years, so I know it is reasonable. It is in the middle of my BMI range, so it should be healthy. And I look fine at that weight.

I picked 149 so I would be closer to 100 than 200 pounds (weird maybe, I know). I think I will most likely make my goal weight 135 or 130 once I reach 149, but that seemed way to far away to put to begin with. In the 130's I will be in the middle of my BMI "normal" zone, which seems good! At 155 I will be at the top range of my BMI, so I am looking forward to that as a milestone. At 153 I will be back at homeostasis (I was there for years). It really is hard to set a goal weight, unless you've seen yourself at that weight before!

Trnsfrm: How old were you 3 years ago, or rather how old are you now? I know that women's hips tend to widen as we get into our 20's. That may have something to do with the size thing.

LockItUp: My hips have stayed the same, but theres more fat and cellulite visible now then there was back then, so i'm thinking it's just fat and less muscle. I'm 22 right now.

I picked 130 because it's suppose to be a healthy weight for someone my height and size, though I'd really rather be at 125. Once I get closer to 130 I'll see if I want to keep going lower

I picked 145 because I have gotten all the way to 152 before and I looked pretty darn good I did still have some fat that I wanted to loose so I figure 145 would be a good weight. I may change my goal to lower once I get to 145, but for now that is what I'm aiming for.

Originally I had 130-135 in mind as my ideal weight but now it seems like I could be lower. I have a very small frame like my mom (but a bit taller) and this was her weight when she was my age so I think it would work.
