Tracking my water retention:
03/20: 167.8 (Last pill of the pack)
03/21: 167.6
03/22: 167.2
03/23: 166.4 (holy crap peed so much last night!!!)
03/24: 165.4, I think it's safe to say I probably lost all my water since my weight is at an all time low now. Well by this diet's standards anyway. xD
It's like a slow gas leak from a balloon

What a great picture!
I'm expecting my TOM in the next handful of days. To be honest, I'm surprised it's not here yet. I'm also about .1 pound away from (according to bmi) no longer being overweight, so I am seriously hoping TOM doesn't interfere with that too much!
Edit: Ha. I post that, and my TOM hits literally 3 hours later. I think I jinxed myself.

Yup, that's how it goes. "Tom" sure does have a sense of humor. Ah well, I'm not that concerned about it. I have a solid two and a half weeks or so to lose a little less than four pounds. I like my chances! This is only my second TOM since starting to lose weight, but if it all goes like last month, it'll fall away plenty fast next week.
I see you're starting to see a pretty good drop! Feeling any better, then?

Let's try this water retention tracking thing...
3/23: 174.0
3/24: 174.0 (exactly the same... no complaints here)
3/25: 173.8
3/26: 173.8 (another duplicate... rather that than go up!)
3/27: 174.1 (hahaha... jinxed myself) (last day of TOM)
3/28: 173.1 ( !)

Great thread! I always need support during TOM to not freak out when I gain. I will be back when I'm on!

Yeah it's a big relief! It's funny I've had periods/bloating like 200 times but it still freaks me out to the see the scale go up. I just have to remind myself over and over that it's not possible to gain 3 lbs of fat in like 2 days xD

Right?? Last month was my first time tracking my weight with any kind of regularity during a full month's cycle, and there was SO MUCH panic when I saw a plateau/slight gain for the first time!
For me personally, the worst part for bloat/retaining water is ovulation week. I retain the most during that week, and I'm treated to a slow crawl up on the scale without the benefit of knowing I'm on my period. My actual TOM stalls me out, too, but I'm still capable of very slowly losing. What I love about it, actually, are the weeks right after those two. I tend to see 3-6 pound drops in a very short amount of time thanks to dropping off that water weight!

I swear my period feels like 2 weeks instead of 1 with all the mood swings and cravings I get leading up to the blob. Currently going through a "must eat everything" phase.

YES! I feel the same way!
The week before, I start getting the cravings and getting really sad about any stupid thing. During, I have terrible cramps and gas, and then when I think it has finally passed, I usually end up binging on the last day. Oh, the joys of uteri.

It's ridiculous isn't it?? I've been really moody the past week. Nothing awful but every now and then I just want to be alone and have no one talk to me!
I watched a video called something along the lines of "your period in 2 minutes", I like to watch it to remind myself that this is all normal and I'm not just the exception! I think they do miss out things like cravings though...

I live in Kochi prefecture, the armpit of Japan. It gets hot and stays hot long enough that we're actually famous for having such a long growing season that we get two harvests of rice a year. Luckily it's spring right now, though. We're planning a picnic at the castle while the sakura's in bloom.
