Super annoyed.I was minding my own business eating my dinner.i had my plate of peas and my chicken. This woman got a smirk on her face and asked if I was eating grass.i replied no they were peas had she never seen them before.
How dare she try to shame what I was eating.

Some people have more nerve than a tooth. I hate it when people try to be cute with their witless remarks.

skittle: you were making good choices and that may have made her realise she wasn't, so she lashed out to make herself feel better. next time, see it as a compliment, however ungracefully given

Well, up a pound. Usually I avoid recording increases in weight but I see so many women around here not afraid to put the number down so I feel inspired to own up to it.

I used to feel like that too but it's better to be honest with yourself and push on! It has the added benefit of making others feel confident too and stick with the challenge

In the grand scheme of things, one pound is not much. Good luck for the next week!

...I don't even understand the logic behind shaming someone for eating chicken and peas. That sounds pretty normal to me. What a strange, sad lady.

On another note, great job to everyone this week! I lost the weight I gained last week and then a teeny tiny bit more, so I'll take it.

Good luck this week!

Hey everyone!

Today is the last day of my two-week juice fast. I feel great!

I'm glad I went through it, and not so much for the weight lost. It reminded me of how strong and determined I can be. I'd really forgotten that! And it actually does make me crave more fruits and veggies. I want to have a healthy lifestyle, and now I feel more determined to follow it.

May is the busiest month for me at school. I hope I'll survive and be able to come here more often

Keep up the hard work, everyone! Keep them pounds coming down

Rie - Thank you! I've been putting a lot of planning into the post-fast part so that even if I gain back some of the weight, I can at least eat better than I used to.
Also, good luck and have fun moving! We just bought our home 3 months ago and I've gotta say, it's a great feeling to have someplace to call home. I hope all goes smoothly for you!

skittlesfirehawk Wow! I would definitely feel ashamed if I was in her place -- not knowing what peas are?
A Disney 5k sounds like so much fun!! Good luck with training!

Lrivers4 - Welcome! We're all in this together, that's what I love about these challenges.

pinkalarmclock - Being honest is always admirable! We all have our ups and downs. Good luck on next week!

pinkalarmclock If it makes you feel any better, I weighed myself after the weekend and I'd put on like 3 pounds. It was probably mainly water weight, but it still sucks - but the honesty helps us keep pushing ourselves to be better!

anity Good luck for your busy month with school!

~Blah, so as I mentioned to pinkalarmclock, somehow I put on 3 whole pounds over the weekend. It wasn't the pounds I was disgusted with, it was the number in kilograms, which is what my scale is set to. I've been used to hovering between 74 - 75 for a while - and sometimes getting a little closer to 76. I weighed on Monday morning and saw 77kg, which just seems like a lot to me, and it's that much closer to 80... and I need to stop this before I keep going in the wrong direction.

It's the same things to blame as always, I do fine during the week, and then the weekends I just lose control. The problem is that a lot of our socialising centres around going to bars, restaurants, and the local breweries - and I really like beer. I can't go to a brewery and just sit there. Well, I mean I could, but it's just not ideal. I'm at a bit of a loss as to how I can control this lifestyle.

To add insult to injury, I'm going through a tough time, so there is definitely some emotional eating/drinking going on. BUT on the positive side, since this post is pretty negative, I have been managing to get in some good walking. I mean.. mostly. I'm experiencing severe fatigue at the moment, and it's beginning to heat up here, so I can't push myself too much - but I'm trying to get something in every day, even if it's only 30 minutes of walking.

I'm headed away on vacation to Portland on Friday, so I'll have to weigh in on Thursday. Here's hoping it isn't actually a true gain!

Ugh, guys. Things have been...special. Work is crazy (and I'm getting moved to a department I don't love for a while because they're short on people), I broke up with my boyfriend, and I got peed on the other day (don't ask). It's not an excuse and I know that, but I do use it as one more often than I should. I haven't lost anything, but I also haven't gained. I need to figure this crap out with how to keep losing weight while life goes crazy (because let's be honest, life is almost never smooth sailing or ideal conditions). Food and exercise have fallen by the wayside, but I need to get back on board.

That's my venting. Hope everyone's doing better than I am. I haven't had much time to keep up.

Hey everyone!!

Just celebrated my birthday at the new Harry Potter Universal Hollywood, what a great weekend.. and I managed to lose a tiny bit of weight. Probably all that walking!
Oh and, Happy May the 4th if there are any fellow fans in here!

Penny

Rainbowstripe Are there any alternatives to full calorie beer that you like? I had to switch over to gin and diet tonic. Try not to be discouraged by the scale, it can fluctuate sooo much so quickly! (Mine sure does, anyways.)

anity Congrats on the successful juice fast!!!

Rie Thanks for doing the charts! Appreciate your putting on this challenge!

skittles Good luck on your 5k training... and it's so ridiculous that people will try to bring others down about literally anything. Your post did make me strangely crave some peas though
