I took a month and a half off from the scales because I had hit a plateau in late September and was stuck between 190-192 lbs for 6 months so I needed to try something else. My goal was to up my calories from 1300 a day to 1500 a day, up my cardio to 45 minutes and add 1/2 hour of strength 3 times a week. I expected to gain initially so I decided to not weigh-in every day because I didn't want to get discouraged. However, the opposite happened. By not weighing in, I kind of gave up. I didn't binge or anything but I started going back to my old habits of eating junk. I also stopped exercising. I took a quick peak at the scale this past Friday and it was shocking. I gained almost 8 pounds in a month and a half (although TOM is here so it's not quite that bad). I need to get back on track before it gets any worse. Starting tomorrow, I'm going back to weighing myself daily, eating 1300 calories a day and exercising for at least 30 minutes a day. I hope to lose the weight that I gained in May in the next two weeks (half of that is probably water weight so it should come off pretty easy) and would like to get into the 180's by the 4th of July.
