Yay! I made it to the 140's finally!

Dottington I've been trying to do intuitive eating myself a couple go days out of the week. It really is nice not to have to worry about the number so much and just listen to your body.

Well done RedRose! Yeah I find it so much more relaxing and there's so much less anxiety.

Yesterday was 13 hours of nonstop work/practice/driving and I was starving by 10 so I had a bit more for dinner then I normally would, but I'm pretty sure my body really needed it. Today had a small breakfast since I wasn't that hungry. Later today I know I'll be doing some walking and strength training.

So TOM is around the corner and I did some hard exercises the last few days(stair exercises, lots of walking, jogging, ab exercises....) and thus my body is retaining water like CRAZY. I'm so swollen feeling Especially my chest TMI WARNING-my boobs never usually swell or get really tender but this month they are for some reason. So yeah, the scale is not my friend today. Its like...showing this super awful super high weight that I haven't seen in a long time. Grr water weight.

My legs are crazy sore. I'm still going to work on getting a jog in tonight. I'm really trying to make this trail running thing happen

Yeah I get that way too, every month! I hate it because it feels like I'm going backwards even though I know it goes away a couple of days after. It sucks. What's even more frustrating is that I also gain water weight during ovulation, so I'm only at my normal weight 2 weeks out of the month. Don't worry though, it'll go down soon. :

Oh man, that's so close its a tease!!

I lost this week - 144 - but I'm kinda taking a mental break I think this week. I'm über hungry, lifting/exercising lots so I'm just gonna go with it. If a gain a bit, vest la vie. I leave next week for a few weeks of hardcore fishing with nets in the backwoods. I doubt I'll have access to enough vegetarian protein daily (aside from drinks I pack) to stay with my current plan anyhow so perhaps this is a good little break. I've been on plan for nearly 9 months. It gets hard on the head somedays.

dehtripper I think its really important to take breaks, especially since you've been so on plan for so long now! You deserve a break and then you'll be refreshed to start again once you get back from your trip That sounds like a really interesting trip you're taking by the way! Hope you have a great time

Ms A Hey, you're only a few lbs away from the 130s! Just stay on plan and imagine...in just a few weeks you'll be there

dragonstar Great job!

So I had finally started losing again but then....TOM >_< And this was my last weekend before school starts(starts tomorrow eep!) so I indulged a bit :/ A little unecessary, but bleh life happens But with school starting I know this water weight will be gone in a few days! I always lose during school, even when I don't try! This summer has been such a struggle, especially since I realized I really had to start eating a lot less to keep losing. My body just freakin loves the low 150s for some dumb reason. Do you guys have any weights that your body seems to settle at? For me the high 170s were just like this...its took me months to break them!

Hello to everyone!

Dottington- Hang in there! Hopefully you'll see a nice number a couple days after TOM is done!

Great job everyone, I've been busy with work so I have not been able to log in for the past few weeks. Well i went for my weigh in this morning and 138lb *shocked*. That is exactly 25lb weight loss from february to date, if you had asked me 8months ago if I could do it. I would have definitely said NO. I have about 12lb before I get to goal, it's so close its actually quite scary. I guess now I have to move to the Featherweights section, I dont even feel like a Featherweight.

All the best ladies, keep up the great work.

Ok can I ask you 5'6 ladies in here a question? I feel like the unwritten rule is for all women 5'3-5'7 to have 125 lbs or less as a goal weight, but for me right now at 146 lbs, my body fat percentage is nearly 24% (which is considered in the fitness category by many people) and I'm a true size 6. I'm so confused as to how far I really should go?? I guess I could be a size 2 at 125-130 but I dunno if I want that. How do you guys feel about where to set your goal weights? And do you concentrate more on body fat percentage and measurements or scale weight?

amandie Great to have you!

size8 Great work! 12lbs is so close I know it must be surreal for you, yesterday I realized I only have 25lbs to my original goal!

RedRose I totally feel you. I too just picked 125 since that is what everyone seems to set as their goal weight. But remember, there is no rule. Being 120-125 won't make you healthy or happy. It just depends on what your goals and aesthetics are. I want to be smaller for aesthetic reasons and because I have a smaller frame, and think 125 will sit nicely on me. My sister is 5'7 and a model. Her weight fluctuates from 115-120. She is a size 0 and actually has trouble finding clothes small enough sometimes. For me 125 isn't a hard goal either, I plan to re-evaluate at 140, since I know from before I really liked that weight

Blah wasn't able to weigh myself today yet. Feelings a little bloated since I went out to dinner with my sister for her birthday. Weighed on my parents scale, it said 146-147ish(its analogue) but it always weighes a 2-3lbs lighter then mine. My scale is actually the meanest scale I've met and weighed on haha Even the doctor scale seems to weigh me lighter So since the 140s haven't showed up on my scale yet, I'm not counting it.

Dottington thanks for the advice! Its helpful to hear another viewpoint on things, especially during this change in my life. Weightloss is a psychological mind trip! I think For right now I'm going to take it to 143 so I can have a buffer between 143 and 145 because I feel good at this weight. Here's to sticking it to scociety's expectations!! Lol.

Hi everyone! I just thought I'd be lurking around rather than posting often. I think it was this some sort of paranoia that I'd go back up to 160 and not be here. That said, I am safely in the 150s.

Dott ~ Haha, in a sense I'd definitely enjoy it if my scale's the meanest of the bunch! Just because going to the doctor's would mean the scale would weigh less. :P You're so close to the 140s, good job!

Rose ~ Although I'm not 5'4, I have my goal set at 125 just to actually have a number there. At the 150s, I don't exactly wear my weight where I want it to be and I doubt an extra 10 lbs off would help it enough to that point. I do have a smaller frame as well, so that could also make a difference. I think I was probably in my mid 120s when I could comfortably wear a size 6, so good on you!
