Default my ideas for losing weight

1. Stop drinking juice & soda!
2. Stop taking the elevator to class!
3. Dance everyday.
4. Eat better, only have junk food once a week.
5. Try to stay motivated.
6. Try to compliment myself every day

Uh....any more ideas ladies?

MusicalDreamer, that is a good start.

I would also suggest the following;
a. Drink 1,5-2L of water per day
b. Always have breakfast
c. Write down what you eat so you can see where you are going wrong
d. Set mini-goals and timelines for them
e. Plan and prepare your meals and snacks the day before

Hope this helps...

I agree with everything size8 said, especially drinking water and keeping a food journal. I would also stress that when you say you are going to eat junk food once a week, that you're not bingeing or going crazy. Check nutritional info before you go to town, even on junk food.

It takes a deficit of 3500 calories to lose 1 lb. If you do well for six days, eating right and exercising, and then eat thousands of calories in junk food on day seven, you will negate all of your hard work. You might consider having a little something sweet (or salty, or whatever your vise happens to be) every day and PLANNING it into your calorie/food allotment so that you don't overdo it. There are healthier alternatives to junk food that are still very tasty. Good luck!

Thanks ladies. I'll try that too & I'm in better control this time than last time, meaning I won't completely pig out on junk on my cheat day

I will add to the fantastic ideas already given to sleep your 8 hours every night, losing sleep can prevent weight loss
And don't make excuses. I do sometimes but catch myself and realize I am making bull crap excuses.
Also to aid motivation come to this site daily, join a challenge to stay accountable
Congrats on deciding to be healthy. And best of luck, small changes will make big differences as long as u keep incorporating more and sticking to them.

You might also consider using a free app such as MyFitnessPal or LoseIt to help you track your food and exercise calories. These apps were powerful tools that helped me set a daily calorie goal and keep track of my calories to make sure I was getting the deficit I needed to lose weight. Good luck!
