Hello all! So any other brides here? I am getting married in July (yay) I have ordered my dress (in two sizes smaller than I wore at that time) and I am on a weight loss journey. I must admit I should have lost this weight a long time ago (I am only 5'0 tall) but this was a great motivator to do it. My arms are what I hate the most and I can't wait to get rid of the fat. I am using MFP, a fitbit and doing the Jillian Michaels DVD's. So far so good! Any advice? What are you doing to get fit and healthy? Anyone want to share dress photos?
I am getting married on Sunday! My advice is to just do what you can, be realistic about what you can achieve in the time that you have, and remember that on the day you will be beautiful no matter what
I've been married for over 6 years now, but I WISH that I had taken control of my weight before the wedding. I weighed about 40 lbs more than I currently do and I am not a fan of my wedding photos. I had a great day, but the pictures make me sad to see now how heavy I was.
My best friend got married last weekend and I was her MOH. I felt much happier and more comfortable in my dress this time and look forward to seeing all of the photos.
my anniversary is July 4th You can do it! I started doing South Beach a few months before hand and I lost 17 pounds. Now, almost 7 years later, I need to lose that 17 again . I am going to treat my anniversary as though it's my wedding now, though, after reading your post, and maybe the motivation will be stronger...so thanks for that!

I'm getting married in Sept!!! I'm soooo excited!!! I want to lose 30 before the wedding but I want to tighten up more than anything! Luckily, one of my best friends is a personal trainer! She's getting a hold of me tonight :/
lilkel have you ever tried HIIT? I never found those workout dvds/cds to be much help. I always though they were kind of gimmicky minus BeachBody series...those kick your butt. haha!
CONGRATS!!!! My husband and I will be renewing our vows on our anniversary this year. We never did have an actual wedding when we got married so we wanted to try really hard to do it this time! i have already picked out my dress (or cant pick between two that are very similar hmph lol) and we will have a red and white theme. =) I found some gorgeous red glitter pumps with a silver bow ^_^ http://www.tidebuy.com/product/Newes...s-9651292.html I plan on buying the dress two sizes too small as well. I just started a new job after not working for 5 years to take care of our son but maybe now i wont be tempted to veg out and eat so much haha
lilkel244 I love that you have ordered your wedding dress 2 sizes smaller which means you have no choice but to loose the weight. July is still a bit far so you have enought time to reach your goal if you stick to the plan, I think the wedding is a great motivation for you. All the best...
I am, march 31st so far I've lost 66lbs for the wedding I don't think I'll lose much more by then since i go in for my fitting and alterations in two weeks. Here's a during weight loss then when i picked up my dress. Prolly 40lb loss in between those pics...
I'm getting married in March. We've been engaged for three years but we only set a date last week! Eek! We're having a private courthouse wedding with just our children and his parents and sister so I don't have a lot to plan. I'm hoping I can get to onederland by then. But I weigh about 30 lb less than I did when we met, so there's that at least.
I'm not getting married any time soon. Hasn't popped the question yet, but we have talked about it. So I have the motivation to lose the weight before he does so that I'll look good even in engagement pictures lol. I figure he won't do it til after July cuz he already said he wasn't going to do it on an anniversary haha.
