Namaste-- It sounds like you've got this! I didn't consider doing an incline when I trained first. Hahaha. I was so naive and hopeful. When I started back up the program running in a hilly area for a longer distance I was wrecked!

HIT is just as you said, High Intensity Training. I'm going to be transitioning into this in the new few weeks to hopefully get my run time down before the 5k.

I've been HORRIBLE in regards to exercise this past week and a half! I haven't felt well at all. Blah. Hoping to do better this week. Still on track with eating, just not exercising.

yammy, we all have our bad weeks! I didn't have a great one last week. But you just have to keep on going. And look, you managed to stay on track with your foods so that is brilliant!

yammy the most important thing is to accept you could have done better and just move on. Don't dwell or think badly of yourself, just go on like that bad week never happened. Just make it through one day at a time and in no time you'll be back on track

I've only been back a week from my trip and have totally broken my promise to not exercise and recover. Sigh. Well I'm at least just going to try and ease into it then....today maybe some light stuff at the gym and tomorrow a 2-3 hour hike. Then monday, just walking around probably. I need to get into the schedule of doing an hour during week days and not being able to go hiking for hours on end once school starts!

Anyone else trying to ease into a different fitness plan for school?

Yammy- Hang in there and keep pushing!

Dottington-- You are reading my mind! I'm trying to work out a schedule that is going to work with my classes. I know once school starts I'm going to be super busy so I need to figure out how to fit my hour to hour and half in everyday....ugh.

Dotti- I'm not sure how my exercise routine will change once I get back into school on Monday. Most of the exercise classes I take at my gym are available during the breaks between classes, plus my gym is about 5-10 minutes away from my new school.

Yammy- Mistakes happen. Just ease into your exercise routine again when you are able to. Start out slowly and gradually add more if you had a significant change in exercise while you weren't doing well.

I've been doing okay on exercise. Had a skin infection from a few weeks back plus severe sunburns pretty much all over my body in a tanning booth (never doing THAT again) so my exercising abilities have been a little limited. Thankfully I'm doing much better today and will get my usual two workouts in.

Did my first week of C25K and I'm actually running MORE than the allotted intervals. I am super proud of myself.

lauracore ugh yeah I'm really worried about it actually...with school and work its going to be super hard, but my school does have a huge shiny gym I get to use for free so I'm really excited to check it out Probably will have to do early morning workouts since my classes/work goes from 8-7 each day....

namaste that's awesome your gym classes fit in with your school classes! That's amazing about your progress with C25k so far

I'm worried about my exercise and when I'm back at college also. And it's my last year so I really do want to work hard. I do want to still be able to stick with this but I'll have to see what way I can work around being in college and exercise. On Mondays last year I was up at 6am and home at 8pm. I've been thinking about it for a couple of days but I'm not back to college until the 17th of September so I won't know my timetable until then. I'm just hoping I have the energy and motivation to continue on. Here is hoping anyway! I plan to make a plan of what to do each day and maybe if I'm home at 8pm, that can be my day off or something. Think the last thing I'll want to do is exercise.
