Man, that would've been something to see. And take a picture of. And post on Facebook.
It made me laugh pretty hard too

I was wearing boots that night and I should have gotten my "fat ***" up on the hood of his car and danced.

I had a similar experience a few weeks back. I told someone I know that I was going on a diet and he turned to me and said "Yeah, you need it." The thing was, he was joking but it didn't matter to me because I was very hurt by it. Joke or not, it would always effect someone who is self conscious, like I am. To me, often a lot of people's jokes are what or how the feel about someone. I will admit that when I got home, I couldn't stop thinking about the comment and I did get very upset. The morning after I told myself that while I can change my weight, he can never change the way he feels about people or the comments he makes to people. And he can certainly NEVER take it back.

It's hard to get over hurtful comments, you can do it though. Try to think like I can. You can change your appearance but he can never change his ugly personality. From your stats, you are doing brilliantly already and should be very proud of yourself.

First of all, I'm sorry this happened to you. What a crappy thing to happen to anyone. To be degraded anyway hurts period but being put down for something that we are sensitive about cuts deep. I've been called fat and a bunch of other names by strangers before (haven't we all?) but I admit it usually took place in childhood. What I would like to tell you is that what happened to you was an important reminder of how miserable so many people are. This man thought he was making a joke and he might have even made his friend laugh but the truth is that anyone who makes hurtful statements towards others so callously is suffering on the inside. There is no way that man is happy in his life. He proved how ugly he is and just how little he cares for how others feel. If a human being doesn't have empathy or decency, they aren't worthy of your time but rather your pity.

It's upsetting to think of just how many others there are like him but you know what works: living your life happily and with love. That is what all these sad little people are aching for and the only thing that's standing in their way is themselves. Ignoring him is the best thing you could have done because a man child like that is desperate for acknowledgement.

I'd have made a nice big ding on the jerk's car... his own fault for parking too close, right?

Please don't dwell on the immature crap that was spewing from his mouth. He is not worth shedding tears over.

Thank you Dreamer2012, I think it may be worse coming from someone you know.
