It's true.

My mom and I have been going for walks or bike rides or just a little something to get our heart rates up everyday for a week. Not only do I look forward to this time but I'm sad when it ends.(My mom and I are EXTREMELY close, she is my best friend).

We had gotten done walking our mile today and she told me that she was incredibly proud of me because I set my goal and I've been working hard to achieve it. Even when people try to break me. And I literally almost cried right there.
These are the moments that make calorie counting, walking miles at a time, saying no to the spaghetti and all that worth it.

I understand your feelings completely and wish I could be near my mom during my experience (and otherwise) as well. Unfortunately school has me away from my family right now...Please enjoy your time for the both of us! I can't wait to see my family in a few months

That is so wonderful. I loved my mom very much and it saddens me that she will not see many of my accomplishments in life. I am glad you have such a good support system and you and your mom can get healthy together. Keep up the good work! It is worth it.

Brandis: That's how I feel about my dad. He died when I was 12 and it spawned some really big issues. I wish he was here to see me.

I'm so happy for you, having a support system makes it a lot easier don't listen to the negative people just think that they are jealous because you have the mindset needed for loosing weight and bettering yourself and they do not! you can and you will do this

You're lucky girl. My mom is not the type to heap on compliments, or even really give one that doesn't come sideways and with a sharp edge. My dad is very gushy though, since I'm his only child, and I can't wait to get to go home having lost a little weight. I'm going to get him to train me in his home gym next time I'm home from school. Hes a body builder so I really hope we can bond that way. Your mom is very sweet!

That's great. I never appreciated my mom more than I do now I'm a mom myself. She is taking a week long vacation up here for my birthday next week and I'm so excited! I'm hoping she can really help spur me off on my weight loss by supporting me. She's good at that.
