Default Blew it Tonight

I have just completed 30 days of Dr.Crantons Elimination diet and was planning to transition tomorrow into the primal blueprint.

I was at an event tonight and they had pizza. I decided I would let myself have one cheat meal in between the two plans.

Now I am bloated. I feel horrible, gross and like I failed. After not having dairy, tomatoes, glueten, or cheese as part of this diet, my body is not responding well. When I was eating on plan I felt so good. This cheat meal is making my stomach hurt and I feel horrible.

I know its only one meal, I didn't cheat the entire 30 days I was on plan and I don't plan to cheat for the next 30... But I feel totally awful. :-(

I dont think you blew it More its a lesson in how much difference the change in diet has made for you! I know I dont realise how much better I feel until I slip up and realise how much nicer it is to eat well. Just gotta take it in your stride and learn from it

Maybe rather than thinking of it as failing, just think of it as how far you've come! Your body is now so used to only eating nutritious and healthy food that when you go off plan, it lets you know immediately that it doesn't appreciate it and doesn't want you to do that again. That's a useful signal from your body, if you ask me.

And just think - now that you know your body reacts this way, you'll be much more unlikely to do it again! In another 30 days of eating on plan, you'll feel freaking *amazing*.

You didn't fail at all! You feel like crap after eating pizza? Great, you probably won't be doing that again. More motivation to enjoy your new plan and you've done a great job so far so take something positive from this.

I commend you for sticking to it for 30 days! There's a reason why even though I follow the Primal Blueprint that I stick to the 80/20 rule There's just no way I could go totally 100% without going nuts!

You're fine One day off plan here and there won't totally derail you unless you let it. Life's too short to go crazy about every little thing anyway! As long as you are on plan most of the time you should be ok.

If you want pizza and things like that, you can always look into making your own version of it. I bought some whole wheat flour with the intent of making some whole wheat pizza. I know, I know it's not primal, but if I go too long without having pizza I will crack

Isn't it strange how the body adapts to what it's eaten?

After eating very low-carb for about a month and loosing very little someone suggested I try to ingest more fiber, so I found a nice low-sugar high-fiber bread. The first slice tasted like cake to me, it seemed so sweet!

You Rock! 30 days is awesome. Keep up the good work. Enjoy your lighter, healthier self. If we only eat one slice of pizza a month, no big deal! It will have no effect on your total weight loss and next time you eat something off plan, you might grab something that doesn't cause you to have a stomach ache!
Concentrate on your victory! If we all just indulged once a month the whole world would not have obesity issues!

Yes it's only one. Don't let it convince you that you mine as well give up now because somehow you "failed".

Your doing fantastic! Like everyone said it was only one and your body is used to the change of eating habits. The next time you want something unhealthy just remember how your feeling and ask yourself if its worth it. 30 days is a HUGE deal, remember that also. Keep up the great work!
