Default Feeling so much better about myself already!

Since January 8th, I have lost 13 pounds and I am feeling so good about myself. I am still far from goal (weighing 204.4 pounds this morning, goal weight 150). Tonight was the first time in probably a year and a half that i just had 'me' time. Locked myself in the bedroom, had music on, gave myself a pedicure, bought myself a special face mask, and tried on clothes that I am still not able to wear quite yet but I can feel myself getting there . Do any of you get like this when you are losing weight? It's a shame I don't do this more often anyways. I hope whenever I am feeling discouraged I think of how I feel tonight and it will kick me back in gear!

Congrats on the weight loss. I've lost the same ammount as you, and I feel SOOO much better. Its crazy how much it can actually change your mood and how you feel in general. Its awesome, and it definitely makes me just wanna keep going. Great motivation.
And as for trying on clothes. I make sure I dont try them on until they're too big. I hate trying on clothes that dont fit yet

Awesome job on the weight loss so far girls!! TiffNeedsChange - no, I don't have kids yet, (I have a fiancé..does that count???) hehe. My problem with weight loss before was I was overwhelming myself thinking 'omg I have 60 pounds to lose!!'. Now I am just lookin at it in small pound increments which is really helping!!

Congratulations! I had a similar day yesterday when I realized my fat jeans were no longer fitting and I needed a size smaller. Keep up the awesome job! Like you, I don't have kids - only a fiance and three hyper dogs - and that counts to me! lol

I know what you mean. Losing weight usually makes me want to treat the rest of me well, too. It feels like if I let myself go, I let EVERYTHING go - diet, exercise, hair, skincare, whatever. But once I start taking care of one thing (diet, exercise) I feel motivated to take care of everything else too.

Hey VK - Yes, I remember, right around after I lost the first 10 lbs or so, I did something very similar. And, even though I couldn't fit into most of my jeans, I was really really happy, and proud for making the effort and taking the first steps. I really just felt physically and mentally sooo much better. It is nice to envision all the weight off, right? I can't wait to get there, but I'm going slow as I had the same issue - 50 lbs just seemed so insurmountable...1 lb a week and I don't have to be hungry? that's more my style "-P
