So the hubby and I...
Are going to Costco this week to start our new diet regime. I have made sure mine is equal to 1200 calories.
From now until May 1st this is my meal plan. His is similar but he gets more calories and his lunches are a bit different:
Breakfast: 1 cup Almond Milk, 1 Cup gluten free brown rice cereal, 1 banana sliced
Lunch: 1 meal replacement Smoothie
Dinner: 1 chicken breast steamed, 2-3 cups veggies (green)
Gym: 1 hour of cardio
cant foget to drink the water either!
Sundays we have a cheat meal, but still make sure to stay within calories!!!!

You are planning on eating the same stuff every single day until May???
Also, I think you are not eating enough if you do one hour cardio every day...

Yikes hun, mix it up!! You are going to be hating your life in a few weeks. I don't think that equals 1200 calories either, does it? Ditch the meal replacement shake, they're full of sugar and other crap. Eat a Greek Yogurt or something instead. Add some weight lifting to your gym routine, too . Best of luck with your goals!

ack thats my bad! I forgot to include my after gym meal! It will be something like Rice and Chicken or some sort of protein replacment for Chicken!!
I'll be intaking 1200 calories total AFTER the gym!
My meal replacement smoothie I will be making myself It has greek yogurt, banana, almond milk, berries,, spinach and protein powder in it.
But yes, I will be eating about the same amounts of foods everyday. I have done it before, and it worked well I cant never get sick of my chicken!!!!!!

Just be careful that you have a plan for what you're going to do when this diet is over. Really rigid eating plans can work well, but the trouble is that once you're off you have no practice in eating to maintain, so it's very easy to regain rapidly.

Greek yogurt is amazing. Sometimes I get sick of eating it straight so I put it in smoothies too. I swear, it makes the *best* smoothies. I'm the same way about chicken. I'll dress it up a little bit, but I can (and did) eat that stuff every day. Good luck!

I'd just like to share this link with you: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/myplate/index.aspx
You might be surprised at how much you need to eat to keep your metabolism going. As long as you eat your calorie limit of wholesome healthy food then you'll be fine. When I started clean eating, and 2200 calories worth, I was sceptical - but I ended up losing a lot of weight.

You will lose weight on 1200 calories per day. When I was 138 I had to go on 1200/day or the weight would not come off.
At my present weight I am doing 1500/day and losing. I still have a few more food choices for awhile.
I wish you both the best of luck!

Gosh 1200 a day seems awfully low especially for just starting out. I know a lot of people here do it though. Do you think you will be able to sustain this until May?

Most people starting out on Jenny Craig start at 1200 cals/day, then when they get to a certain weight, they move to 1500 cals/day. Some clients start out higher, then get lower.

I did 1200 calories for a while (well more like 1200-1400, but most of the time it was closer to 1200) for a few months. If you eat the right foods it really isn't all that hard
That said, the OP is at a lower weight. She might have to eat that low to lose.

Wow! Good for you! I would give anything to have that kind of rigidity. Your smoothie with the greek yogurt sounds great and filling.
Good luck!
