so i cheated...
Today was my grandpas bday. Here's the rundown on my eating today...
Yogurt (100 calories) for breakfast
3 babel cheeses bite size (70 calories each) for lunch
About 8 slices of 2% cheese, three slices of turkey, one slice of roast beef, two slices of virgins ham wrapped in lettuce for dinner...
and then the blow.. two small slices of cheesecake and one of birthday cake.
Did I screw myself? Im so worried about this.

Honestly, I'd be worried if you didn't eat the cheesecake and b-day cake. The amount of food you ingested before that added up so some extremely low daily calories.

Really, no one meal can screw you. Will you have a deficit for today? Most likely not. But so what? Remember, a pound of FAT is 3,500 calories. You didn't come close to that, so how much could you have really screwed yourself? Yes, you might see a gain because of the salt, sugar and junk in the meal, but its not "real" weight.
But really, before dinner you had only eaten 310 calories. That is WAY too low....310 calories is a small meal, not two. Its not a shock that you went all out on cheesecake. I know I find it way harder to say no if I'm starving and 310 calories would put me at hangry. Next time, make sure you set yourself up better

Yeaaah. But I ate less because I knew the party was today so I feared id cheat a bit. But you are right, I didn't ingest too many calories before dinner so I should be pretty okay. Phew.

Relax! Life happens and we are not perfect.
Count it and work it in to your plan.
Not a big deal.
Just for the record, I love Cheesecake. and my MIL makes the best ever. So, when I know we are doing a family thing and it's going to be there. I figure out how to work it in! And I enjoy every single bite!

Maybe try joining a calorie counting website to give yourself a better estimate of how many calories you're eating and burning per day.

You're allowed to have dessert!
Work it into plan and you'll be fine during thanksgiving and Christmas I had dessert (sometimes two) and still managed to lose weight over both of those holidays! It's all about planning ahead!

Where's the fruit? Where are the veggies (besides a little lettuce)?
Your body needs more than meat and cheese.

Agreed! Add some fruit into your yogurt (Greek yogurt is a great choice and so is going plain and self-sweetening with agave or honey)!
Lunch and dinner definitely should be more than cheese and meat! If you add in more volume by way of nutrients, you may be able to control your hunger a lot better!

I was working yesterday, so I wasn't near fruit or vegetables all day. I had many veggies actually because my aunt made a veggie platter. I completely forgot about that!
But other than that, I work at a deli so meat and cheese is all I know there hahaha.
Other than that I usually have yogurt for breakfast or lunch and fruit is a common snack for me (especially apples yum~). I have salad at least once a day usually too.
So no worries! I'm usually getting enough a day. Yesterday I was just working all morning and had no time to make a lunch. I should have made one the night before but I seriously was not thinking.

It was one day, sometimes we endulge and treat ourselves. I find if I'm in starvation mode because I know I'm going to eat out or go to a party with cake I'll eat more than what I originally planned because I'll over eat because i'll be really hungry.
I'm usually way up on my calories one day a week anyways because that's my eat out day. Unless you see yourself doing it ALL the time and I mean every day and going back to your old habits, I really wouldn't worry or put too much thought into it, it's okay to endulge once in a while!

You're entitled to dessert. But I can't say I don't feel your pain with actually eating it and being worried. Sounds like you incorporated it fine without even noticing.
I use MyFitnessPal, like most here, to calculate my meals for the day. If I put it in ahead of time, I know exactly how much to eat and I won't do more/less.
By the way, you know what your body enjoys. I won't be the one to tell you what you should be consuming like others do.
