Default Any Holiday Damage?

Hello All!

I don't know if anyone noticed my absence but I went back to the good ole US of A for the holidays to see my family. I just got back to my apartment and weighed myself. In 3 weeks, I'm up 10 pounds LOL. Now usually, I would be a WRECK right now but honestly, I don't feel bad at all. I ate the most delicious things... I think a few pounds are prob water but I'd say I gained a solid 5. I am excited to get back into the grind of daily walks and veggies galore. Excited to see even better results!

Anyone else do any "damage"?

I gained 2-3 pounds over the Christmas holiday. I feel the same way you do, I'm right back on plan today, and it won't take long to blow past those extra pounds!

Over Christmas I gained 7 lbs but I planed on starting a new diet after the holidays. So I decided to make Christmas an all out sugarfest. Paying for that now…

I must be the only person who was looking to maintain and LOST WEIGHT. I'm down to 132 right now (third day in a row hitting this weight) and I felt like I ate a lot over the holidays.

I didn't track on Christmas and Christmas Eve, but I guess I ate less than I thought (I DID limit how much I ate before dinner because I wanted to indulge, but I wound up getting full on so little at dinner)

I've stayed away from sweets for the most part because I find that I can't handle them all that well anymore

I'm up as well. 6 pounds in just under three weeks. Ugh...Time to push forward. I began the paleo diet today and am ready to start seeing good results.

7lbs up. I was down to 169 in 13 Dec. Started going to holiday parties, making Christmas cookies and other goodies. Not working out. Jan first I was up to 176. I know I've stretched my stomach out again, so now I'm hungry all the time like before. Working on getting it to shrink. Also, my kids go back to school tomorrow so I can start going to the gym again. This IS my year! I turn 30 in May. I would love to be at my goal weight for my birthday, and the rest of my life!

Thank god I only gained 1.5 lbs. I had ate so much food and sweets. I was really surprised that's all I gained. I still feel like I am going to step on the scale and it will have caught up to me.

Remember too that on long international flights like that you can have some serious water weight too!!! Trust me, I've been up as much as 5lbs just from that alone. Sigh, and i'm SO jealous you got to go to the states for the holidays. I wish!

I maintained over the break and am pretty happy about that. Then again, I was just here with my family (no extended family) so we didn't have all the big meals and constant eating.

I'm up a solid 5 to 6 pounds.. I'm not mad at all!!! I know it's because of my choices of snacks lol I've been stuck on cup cakes and cookies!! Eating more than 3 of each..Not drinking enough water and portion size of food out of control! Fast food has been my best-friend lately and NO EXERCISING!! I know what I need to do to fix it!!!

I actually maintained my weight through the holidays. I did have a massive food fest on new years eve that I thought would kill my progress but actually I am down to 133.8lbs.

When I visited family over Thanksgiving, I managed to gain about a pound. I was a bit sorry I couldn't eat as much as I used to, but I enjoyed everything I ate!

For Christmas, I'm up a pound, but just getting back into my eating & exercise routine after indulging in quite a bit of cheese and wine.

I gained about 6 lbs. the last week of December, but it was mostly water weight. I'm sure your gain will drop off once you get back into your routine.
