Default Chia seeds

Has anyone ever heard of chia seeds? I saw it on Dr Oz and they are seeds that you can cook with or just sprinkle on your food. It's suppose to make you feel really full because they absorb 10 times their weight in water. I was just wondering if anyone has tried it yet. I love to eat (who dosen't) and feel like I always eating until I'm about to pop! So anything that helps me feel full longer I'm always willing to try

Yes! I put a tablespoon in a water bottle and let them soak then just drink them up. They're fun to crunch on, and I think they give the water a good taste. Nothing really noticeable or anything just good. I actually don't use them to feel full because not feeling full isn't my problem. My problem is binging even when I know I've eaten enough food. I like them because they keep me hydrated and they help with digestion, plus they have a good source of fiber and omega 3's. My boyfriend is a firefighter and his entire department swears by them haha. They go out to a rural part of town almost every shift and by bags of the seeds from a farmer's stand. Give them a try!

I use them to make pudding, similar to tapioca. If you google chia pudding there are lots of recipes around. I also use ground chia with eggs in the morning. 1T of chia with breakfast definitely keeps me full all morning without the 10 am snack crazies. They're also great for keeping things moving, lots of fiber.
