Hi folks!

Well, I have less than 10 months until my wedding, and I will NOT see myself at over 300 lbs in my wedding pictures. This looks like a great place to kick off my participation on this forum. 12 weeks of accountability will be great!

I've added myself. Looking forward to having great success with you all!

That is exactly how I feel. I lost about 40 pounds in 2011 and ran a 5 mile race on New Years Day. It feels great to be continuing on rather than starting fresh. I'm struggling a little with the fact that the motivation is changing. My body is "chubby" rather than miserably fat. Now I'm more motivated by fitness goals and moving forward.

It wasn’t just me; it was almost everyone that set a goal. We just all made them too ambitious. I like to have an idea in my head of where I want to be at the end but I’m always happy with a loss of any size. You never know what life is going to bring or how your body will take the changes.

Hello! Can I join?
I've never done one of these before though so hopefully I understand right. Do I just jump right in and go and add my name to the spread sheet? It looks awesome I don't want to wreck it lol!
I've wanted to post in here since you created this but was too afraid to ask what the numbers meant as I was sure I was being stupid (I was!). I only just worked out what the numbers are after the weeks- they're dates duh! I was racking my brains trying to work out what on earth those fractions were supposed to be then remembered the majority of people on here use the American date system lol.

You can absolutely join. Just add your name to the bottom of the spreadsheet. Then be sure to add a starting or "baseline" weight on or before Thursday. Then "weigh in" every week before the deadline and I'll post weekly charts showing everyone's stats (see the "6 weeks" thread for an idea of what the charts will look like). Thanks.

**Edit, I see you figured it out

Yup finally got my head around it but thanks! This sounds like it'll be a fun thread and low pressure (while still holding yourself accountable) too which I like

I think this is just what I need to get myself started on staying on track! I'm also going to be doing my weight loss in increments of 10 lbs! My goal for this challenge is 10-15 lbs.

Great to be here guys!

Whoa!! I just got a new weight loss motivation.

There's this guy friend from college I like who lives 1-2 hours away. We belonged to the same college clique and see each other a few times a year when everyone gets together (Weddings, football games, etc). We're flirty and all our mutual friends have been trying to get us together (and expect us to end up married). Anyway I saw some pics of him from a New Year's Party and he looks HOTT. He probably lost 20 pounds since I saw him last (as have I ) and looked great in a pair of fitted dark wash jeans and an oxford top. He's now really skinny. I'll use that as motivation this week when I don't want to drag myself out running .
