Default Progress Pictures - I really needed to see these

It's really amazing how pictures can really put things in perspective. I've been feeling a bit...blah lately and I decided to look at a picture I took of myself a little over a week ago. I still wasn't completely happy with it, but then I decided to compare to older pictures and well, I really saw my progress. I compared it to a picture of me at 163lbs and even then I can see a huge difference! I suddenly felt better and realized that even though I don't have my dream body—I probably never will—I've still come a really long way in just a short amount of time.
  • When I began this journey I was a 12/14, although I did wear a 16/18 at one point. I can now wear a 2/4.
  • I've lost 64 pounds and I have a Normal BMI for the first time in my life.
  • I've learned how to eat a proper portion and I've learned to eat even healthier.
  • Even though I exercised regularly at my starting weight, my new lighter body has made it easier for me to challenge myself.
  • I've been able to lift heavier than I ever have before

My life just seems infinitely better. Maybe it's a bunch of things falling into place, or maybe it has to do with me finally moving and losing the weight like I've always secretly wanted to...but I do have you all at 3FC to thank. I joined at 170lbs, but I wouldn't have shed these extra 34 without your help.

And here are the pictures I've been talking about:

Left picture: 200lbs; Middle picture: 163lbs; Right picture: 137lbs.

Where did my hips go? Haha. I've lost ~10in off them!

You look amazing - I can totally see the muscle from your upper right arm that extends to your chest. You can thank lifting for that one! Your breasts also look a lot more firm - for the same reason.

Thanks for sharing!

Congratulations! I am in a similar position, however I'm no where near the progress you've made!! Pictures are amazing, and I'm so happy that I've been taking pictures of myself as I've lost weight so I can give myself an ego boost. Don't feel down, you're look amazing =)

Calorie counting and exercise I stick (stuck? I'm not as strict now that I'm getting close to maintenance) to ~1200 calories a day, more if I'm hungry or exercising hard. I also exercise 5x a week and vary it every day. I get cardio and strength training in and I've been lifting heavy weights once a week and lighter weight throughout the week.

You look amazing!! Good for you for taking pictures!

I really wish I had taken more. I have a few of me during my way down, but I really should have taken more. At least I have years and years of before pictures to look back on.
