I used to draw a lot in high school. It was nothing serious but I really enjoyed cartooning and I considered pursuing art in college (actually I was pretty close to being an art major and only switched to undecided at the last minute). Well my friends and I used to draw all the time and when I hung out with those friends recently, they got me drawing again.

It felt good to draw something for the first time in about...a year? I feel like I really need to pick it up again. I forgot how much I liked it.

unpretty - I'm sorry to hear that...I hope things work out for you soon

Riestrella - I love red coats too! I just got one recently and I love it!

Hey ladies! I've been bad at keeping up w/the chat thread but I'm glad to be back! I gained a few "new guy/Christmas" pounds but they're falling off simply with sensible eating. Exercise is not going well - it's bitter cold in upstate NY and I can't afford to join a gym, but neither of those are good enough excuses to be as inactive as I am.

Funny enough my mom got me a scale for my birthday - it's 2.5 lb higher than my parents' and my guy's scales, Taylor electronic with red numbers. Harumph. I was up to 138.5 on Christmas Day but I'm back down around 134. New guy weighs about 100 pounds more than I do which is great for my self-esteem as I'll never need to worry about being fatter (he's a big guy, 6'2 football player type build). He's a big flatterer and today he told me I was ballerina-shaped and had a great waist, so that's always nice to hear. Still, I'm looking to get in better shape and get under 132.

Well after 2 days of hitting 161 lbs I went and ruined it! Had a massive mexican meal last night, I'm praying it's water weight but I was 163 this morning =(. Just going to have to glug a lot of water and hope for the best! New Years eve tomorrow! Can't believe it!

sont - Great that you've got back into drawing! I used to do it all the time in high school, then when I got to my last year my art teacher was very demanding and I just got fed up of it. I took it in College but swapped because the teacher said "We don't spoon feed you how to draw" then they would tell me how to draw...but I used to be pretty good at it - mainly portraits. I'm not sure if I have the patience any more!

krampus - Welcome back! Hope to see you post around some more =). I applied for JET, just waiting for an interview now!
